I'm not entirely sure why this is so emotional for me. I started listening to NFG 18 years ago. In a sick and scary world, they somehow manage to be the last remaining thing that hasn't changed on me. I feel 15 again when I hear this. When NFG stays positive through all of the terrible changes we've all experienced since their debut, they somehow remain positive. If they can get through all of this, then so can I.

@lesbeyonceknowles96957 жыл бұрын
Radiosurgery is their weakest release to date. Coming Home is 1000x more interesting to listen to.
@happybeingmiserable46687 жыл бұрын
That's your opinion and mine is different, I remember when Coming Home came out, many NFG fans were not happy, NFG themselves weren't happy because Geffen had told them how to do the Album and they didn't do it the way they wanted to, the best songs were left off the main Album and made into B-Sides. I like, "Anthem for the Unwanted" better than all of Coming Home's songs combined, I have the Deluxe edition of Radiosurgery, where the extra songs are actually good. NFG only made 1 single from Coming Home and 3 from Radiosurgery to give you an idea how bad received Coming Home originally was.
@lesbeyonceknowles96957 жыл бұрын
First of all, I bought both albums the day they came out, so I'm well aware of the history behind both releases and the reception both albums received at the time(s). Secondly, Coming Home was definitely ahead of its time in the sense that it took a while for most NFG fans to fully appreciate a more relaxed, mature sound from them. Read any NFG-related thread and you'll see that a ton of folks love CH and wish they'd make more songs that sound like those. Also, in 2016, Chad ranked their albums from worst to best and ranked Coming Home ahead of Radiosurgery: teamrock.com/feature/2016-07-11/every-new-found-glory-album-ranked-from-worst-to-best

Man, I can't express the feeling of godly happiness these guys make me feel. The first song I heard was "At Least I'm Known For Something". It was on the game "Burnout Take Down" which is an intimately special game for me mainly because of the Soundtrack that in my opinion is the best I ever heard. So after hearing them on this game I couldn't stop. Specially after seeing them having connections somehow with Hayley/Paramore, that is a band that influences me a lot when making music. NFG is the Godfather of punk-pop.
