These fabrics are beautiful. i always keep away from viscose fabrics as they crease so much. These fabrics dont look like they crease too much. You dont mention creasing but would be very interested to know if they do crease, Lovely video.

Hi Margaret, yes to a degree they will crease and certainly after washing them they will need ironed. I have a lot of clothes made from this fabric and I personally find that when I iron them prior to wearing them I don;t find the normal creasing that would happen during wear bothers me that much. Happy to admit that might just be me though and I maybe have a different threshold of crease tolerance in my clothes. If you really want to avoid any creasing you need to opt for synthetic fabrics or synthetic mix fabrics. I tend not to go with them myself as I find them a bit hot and sweaty to wear :)

I can’t see the blue and white checked fabric on the website. Either in new in or via a search.

Hi Sarah, I’m really sorry that fabric was super popular and all sold out. We tried to get more but our supplier had sold out too I’m afraid

Lovely fabrics! I was wondering what the underside of the spotty cotton gauze looks like? I’m thinking of making the Gilbert top from Helens Closet and I want to make sure the tie front would look ok on the reverse side of the fabric.
@LaurenGuthrieGhani3 жыл бұрын
Hello, it looks very similar to the front really, the embroidery just isn't as sharp or neat looking as the front but there isn't much in it to be honest. I hope that helps :)

Hello from Austin Texas, great to find you, I mostly Quilt, I have tried a top for my wife, I really like the easy sleeve pattern, I am going to place an order, can you suggest a patterns for purchase?
@LaurenGuthrieGhani3 жыл бұрын
Hello Mark, I just want to make sure I fully understand what you mean by the easy sleeve pattern before making recommendations? The raglan style sleeve is pretty simple as its more like sewing a seam than setting in a sleeve. I do have a separate video that is all about setting in sleeves that you might find useful as well kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4vKc3-Qqqicl7M

Great video - thank you! One question - for the linen/viscose fabrics - how much do they crease? I love those two on the rolls behind you but cannot cope with the way that linen crumples up in wear so hoping the viscose might help . . . .
@LaurenGuthrieGhani3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jill, They will still crease a bit, not quite as much as 100% linen but if you really don't like crumples in your clothes sticking to synthetic fibres will be best as any fabrics with natural fibres will to some extent crease/crumple. I hope that helps :)
@jillyeo92573 жыл бұрын
@@LaurenGuthrieGhani thanks Lauren. I am a natural fibres fan so happy with some creasing. Pleased to hear the viscose helps a bit - I may need to give it a try!
