It’s Volvo Penta shaft drive only with twin D11 670hp standard in Europe and the D11 725s standard in the USA, though there will be the option of the D13 800hp motors for a top speed in the region of 32 knots.

The glass on those flip down balconies gets pretty hot in the sun which I discovered to my dismay at the 2022 Miami Boat Show. Was walking barefoot when I stepped on that hot glass. Painful, very painful

I love the drop down sides and sliding windows, imagine a princess yacht with these features, the style, fit and finish of an S72 with all this extra space and bringing the inside outside. 👍❤️🇬🇧

I like to see them give the option of doing away with a dining table inside and turn it into a big living room tv area. There’s plenty of areas to dine at so it’s a waste of space to have it inside. Worse case scenario with bad weather you just eat off the coffee table in front of the sofa

You are one of the first. The 500 has some better packaging. Garage, this turning seats and opening portholes in the cabins. That's a pity that Galeon changed some things to the worst. And IPS is missing as an option

Galeon have certainly moved from a high gloss, over accessorised (eg bow seats with the worlds most configuration options:) to a exceptionally well finished, ‘mature’ and functional boat Perhaps increasing the engine capacity to achieve a 37/38 knot maximum would push her into another market ? AH, I've always wondered about that because they are so (relatively inexpensive), could you expand? Do you mean noise, drivability and feel? E.g. you could buy a Vauxhall with all the gadgets for 40k but a similarly priced Audi is more basic but is just so much better to drive and be in.

Been looking forward to this one as the Galeon 500 (ish) is my ‘ambition’ boat. This looks great, love most of the changes. But I would prefer to have some of the outgoing features as an option e.g. The rotating cockpit seating, garage, sunpads at the front of the flybridge. I also actually like the seati8ng arrangement on the foredeck on the 500 (with tables for your beer ). It does look like a more coherent and mature design. I wonder how it compares in terms of driveability with the 500 as I’m guessing there is lots happening underneath the skin. Thanks for another great review!

Amazing Yacht for just 56ft. But the windows of the owner en-suite are better than the one of the owner cabin itself. How is the build quality of Galeon? Good sound insulation?

What I like most is that it has fewer dodads than the others. There is simply a lot less to go wrong. I am noticing that no one is mentioning the stabilization on these.

I think a seakeeper is on the options list. But TBH I'm not so worried about the dodas because most of them are just switches and hydraulics, which are fairly belt and braces simple hydraulic systems (famous last words) ;-)
