Plan-F for factory or plan-T for terraform / plant(industrial) / plant(biological) is far better imo

i just tried the demo but gotta say there are better games that do around the same way this does for me those are better than this one. as for a 3d version i def find planetcrafter better

Holy shit this game is bad; Optimized ? This game is the enemy of optimized, it runs far slower than it should. I am sure my system is by far not as new and fast as yours, but even on yours you can see it's not that great. This is worse than old Ubisoft games. Pathfinding, what pathfinding ? Sure, when you make a route it is fine. If you change a road layout, it will NOT find the new route, even if you change just one little bit. I had to remove the Road Stops and place them again and make the route again for it to find the right route. And then i have also seen roads that will not build straight as if there is something blocking it while otherwise it would build over them, and the roads break, they are not alligned and break up with basically red artifacting from the ground beneath it coming through. I also see that happen on Road Stops every now and then. Key Bindings. Things you'll often use are mostly Extractors, Depots, then Roads, Road Depot, then Factory and Assembler. Sooo, where are my shortcut keys ? I would like to set my own Keybindings. That that is missing is also beyond me. They have some Keybindings, in a lot of cases for things i doubt most people will EVER use. So why not those ? I know it's only a demo, but if this is even close to it, then it's severely lacking. I think they should at least show more of what's to come in the Demo to make the right impression of what the game is. Right now i also do not see a way to tell the Depots to evenly split what they recieve to two different points for instance, so one side gets everything and the other nothing. If that's how it stays it is horrible and a missed oppertunity that should be obvious needs to be a thing. Also, no pause button on the production either, so you'd have to remove the building and place it again later if you just want it to stop. It is beyond me that those things are all a problem. There are enough resources to play with and make different things with, but the way it plays is just lacking. If these things are options you later unlock, why ? You've already gotten to a different planet and can make complicated things but such things are too hard to build into a factory or something ? That would just be lame and weak. Also, once you set up your production for something, i was mostly just waiting, and too long, for just anything to happen or move on. There's not that much needed to fulfill the city needs for some time. Even with a quick setup i was just doing far too much. Sure, it might be a bit more work for all three cities at once, but now i see the scale, i can tone that down quite a lot, and i'd be done just as fast if not sooner than i was now for all three. Hope that improves. It's boring. Your city must grow, it's doing its thing, guess i'll just go read something on the toilet then. Sure, when you get further into the game you will need more spots to mine and produce more different things, but, it just doesn't really seem balanced really. Also quite a bit of space to work with, plenty i think. Sure, for now. But for the time i've been playing this, it's just not enough. I'm bored during and after these few hours. While this is a bit more of a puzzle city builder i guess, i think there are plenty of other games that would be more fun and interesting to play.
