Bogart can also be used to mean hoard or hog like "bro don't bogart those hoagies".

I have indeed heard people say it. Not many people, or often, but it definitely predates LRR. The (possibly apocryphal) etymology I've heard is that it originated with smokers (probably of weed, but not sure), to describe someone who kept smoking the joint instead of passing it around, because Humphrey Bogart, (back when people smoked in movies) had this way of having a cigarette just kinda hanging on his mouth even while he was talking or doing other stuff.
