The Z690 Unify-X with the newer BIOS revisions also works extremely well. Haven't finished my own testing yet, but a well-experienced friend was doing 8000 on it as well and it's quite cheap and is a sleek-looking black board unlike all the others. Very happy so far!

@@macht242 Yeah I got mine used from someone who even binned them for best memory OC and combined that with a 13900KS also binned for good IMC. If I ever find the time to properly tune that setup it should work very well indeed. But honestly, Apex will probably yield even better results without binning, I just didn't want a board of that color in my rig lol

Have a question… I get with the msi z790i and team group 7200mhz cl34-42-42-84 xmp. I did the auto oc function try me! And get 7600 - 7800 and even 8000mhz cl36-45-45-128. Is it the same as I would buy for example the 8000kit and get xmp like the 7200 does ? Or are 8000 kits already bit better and more stable then an 7200 oc +. Cuz u did. order an 7600kit to try if there is a difference when I do both at 7600. one with xmp and one wit 7600oc from 7200.

unify is no longer in production, doesn't make sense to recommend it. it usually caps out at 7800-8000mhz

Yes its better to use the AV1 encoder on the GPU and no performance loss even in GPU bound scenarios, but you need a powerfull gpu , but if you are buying a tachyon... well a 4080 should be no problem.

Stupid, Stupid and more stupid. I bought a 48gb 8200mhz set and put it on my APEX with 13900k and after 1 week of struggle I barely managed to stabilize it at 7600mhz. XMP DOESN'T WORK AT ALL (8200) The processor is SP96, with the front ram (Dominator 6200) It worked on 6200 with manual settings and still a lot of trouble. (whether it's from the processor or the MB - I have no idea) But I know that those percentages - in my opinion THEY ARE NOT TRUE!
