Thanks for this! My husband is around 320lbs and 6’2. Saw these on sale for under $100 and grabbing us two of them just for wasting some time in the lake. Wasn’t sure about stability for bigger people even with the higher weight limit. So this was great. Thanks!

Just picked up one of these. Bigger guy like yourself. only been out once for about 8min to test it out. I personally found the seats to be terrible, and that the Kayak sagged in the middle with the front and back lifting up, kind of like your looked like it was doing. I plan to add a piece of wood in the bottom to spread my weight out and stiffen up the boat, and put in a better seat. Killing my back with that seat. I did have my skeg on, it tracked fairly straight.

Mine did that initially, after I added more air pressure it held up pretty good! I've seen so many mods that people to that are pretty cool! I'd be interested to hear how it goes with your upgrades! Let me know how it goes!!!!

@@ReWyldOutdoors I will play with the air a bit. I forgot my ruler and had to guess based on how it felt when I inflated it at home. might not have enough air in it. Regardless I need a way to mount a better seat and the board should help with that a lot. I looked at getting some D-ring mounts to glue on so I could add a regular Kayak seat as well. that would be the easiest option. I found this video. he uses two 1x10x7 hinged in the middle to make a easy to store bottom. keeping it simple, none of the extra stuff he put i, just the floor boards. curious to see how it goes. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJe0q3emd7yde9k

Man that look like a very nice kayak. How long does it takes to Pump It Up? It's awesome to see that it is Big boyfriend. Especially for somebody like me who is 300 lb. I do have a question? How are the footrest on this kayak? Do you think it will work out for me with having a very very extremely wide foot that a sz 15 6E wide with very chubby fat wide toe that are equally straight across making my foot very very wide at 6 1/2 inches wide? I am on my weekend kayak trip with my family and my wife's coworkers family. We are camping right now for tonight and hitting the water early in the morning. I can't wait. Well man, unfortunately it doesn't really have any provisions for feet. That's one of my only complaints! I had some upgrades I wanted to do to it but never really did much with it but use it a few times. I need to get it back out and try it again.

As a bigger guy myself, I used the K2 for the first time this weekend. First time in a kayak as well. How did you feel about back support? Also getting out was to funny I kinda just rolled out...lol

It had to be pumped up really tight and it still isnt the best. Honestly, it works much better for smaller people!

@@ReWyldOutdoors I would agree, my daughter (5'7" @ 120lbs) had no trouble. After doing a little search, I'm going to try and use a stadium seat for more back support..Something to try. But you looked to be sitting more upright? I could not get comfortable.

I'm 280, pumped it up tight and that thing didn't have a bit of problem carrying the weight and it's really stable. Its not the easiest thing to paddle though. It did much better in the lake than the river!!!

I do still have it! It works great but it's better for smaller people and kids.

@@ReWyldOutdoors for the price/space I was contemplating getting it for my 15yr old son who's about 5'7" tall and 150lb right now. Do you think it would be able to keep up with regular kayaks/canoes? Not for substantial travel, just lazy weekend floats on the river.

Since it's inflatable not a ton, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm a big guy so I was pushing the limits of the thing but for a smaller person it would do very well!

I never saw a reel like you had where you just push a button one handed. What is the name of that reel. I have the sea eagle 380 inflatable and it would be better for you. I notice the boat you had was creasing in the middle. The sea eagle would not do that.
