Genestealer cults been a favourite of mine for a long time even before we really had any models in 7th and we wanted to do something fun like what happens when the cult find out they are dinner!

You cannot use the Biophagus to give a unit two different genomic enhancements. The action specifically says that you use it on a unit that doesn't already have an enhancement. Alchemist Supreme just lets you give one out pre-game and, specifically, allows you to select it even if you aren't targeting a unit of Aberrants. You also cannot give the cult icon to models with special weapons in Neophyte squads. It specifically says that a model with a shotgun or autogun can take a cult icon. Flare Launchers also do *not* give FNP anymore. They give a 6++ against ranged attacks. The 6+++ comes from the War Convoy Myriad Cults trait if you take it. I think you probably want to focus your list more. And you don't want to play with your Primus like he should be in fights. I think if you want to run Twisted Helix you should focus on the melee rather than the shooting. Your list looked a lot like a Rusted Claw list and I think it would do much better in that cult or even Hivecult or Bladed Cog. Gives you more mobility on your heavy weapons, which you had a ton of, and makes you more durable to shooting. Maybe drop the sub-par aberrants and stick in some acolytes with actual weapons instead, maybe even some bikes. I also think it is a mistake to skip psykers in a GSC list. A magus seems so insane for their points unless you really, really, want to take Abhor against like GK or something.

@@frankieblas3251 Not anymore in the new codex :). Only a 6+ invul save against ranged attacks and -2 to charge distance for enemies.

@@frankieblas3251 No, they don't. They did in 8th edition. Now they give 6++ against ranged attacks and -2 to the charge distance if the unit is charged.

Thank you and yes you right and something I got wrong in this report on both counts. I missed read the biophagus rule for Genomic enhancement which thankfully we did not get to see the Aberrants in combat using the exploding sixes 😬 With the flares the games workshop’s app is wrong has the app says it 6+ ignore wounds but the codex says • The bearer has a 6+ invulnerable save against ranged attacks. • Each time the bearer's unit is selected as the target of a charge, if the bearer is not within Engagement Range of any enemy units, subtract 2 from the charge roll. Which much better I think 🤔 With my list in my head it was going to go a totally different way but i’ve learnt the hard way it was a poor list 😂😂 Thank you for the tips and the next report we will have loads of improvements Darren

To gain a crossfire token, all you need to do is hit with either 5 shots with dmg 1, or 1 shot with any other dmg profile. So when the Sanctus was autohitting, you were automatically gaining crossfire. You don't need to wound to gain crossfire.

😂😂 when the dice go cold on you for changing your in trouble. Yes I should have placed a crossfire marker down when the Sanctus fired but due to being 2nd game I was playing more cautious on the rules 😊

Thanks Alex I’ve green stuffed all the heads for my Tyranids years and years ago back in 5th edition and I wanted my Tyranids to look like Aliens form the film 😊

GSC doesn't look like it's good to go melee into strong melee armies. It's better to go with a shooting heavy profile IMHO. Melee would be great into non melee armies though. That's what I like about the new GSC codex, it gives you flexibility against any army you're facing.
