The game is Chinese made. But there are regions based on other countries as well. Monstadt = Germany Liyue = China Inazuma = Japan Sumeru (rainforest and desert) = Is based on a historical region under collective Islamic rule called Dar al Islam. It stretched from most of Northern India, connecting with China. This region also included the Middle East and most of North Africa. Fontaine = France Natlan = Several indigenous cultures from Pre-Columbian Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Oceania. Snezhnaya = A mix of Tsarist and Soviet Russia. (Not yet released) Ps. The lore is SO DAMN GOOD and CRAZY. Its hidden everywgere like item discriptions and books the terrain itself etc.

Fontaine is also inspired by Britain (Wriothesley, as well as some NPCs and historical figures) and Italy (the Petrichor Island, and maybe Navia). Mondstadt is inspired by Germany very loosely. I think it's moreso based on fairy tales (with emphasis on German ones), and western fantasy.

The characters for "jiāngshī" are read goeng-si in Cantonese. The use of a talisman on its forhead is to make the corpses move by themselves for easier transportation. Talismans are written in vermillion which represents pure Yang energy. By tacking a talisman to the forehead of the corpse would enable the jiangshi to be controlled by the priest in doing whatever they order. But in Qiqi's case she gives herself the orders.

Great video man. Visions are basically what gives a character their elemental powers. As someone said in your chat, they are given by gods. That "Tsubaki" trailer you watched about Ayaka(ice girl with the brother) is actually her vision origin story, it's how she gained her powers. Looking forward to more genshin content. You did ask at a point during your reaction if Genshin's going to receive its own show and the answer is yes! We actually did get a teaser for the anime a few years ago and there hasn't been any new information regarding it. My guess as to why that is, is probably because Ufotable, the studio that'll make the anime, is busy with other projects. Another reason could be that Hoyoverse wants to wait until the game's story has progressed further or maybe they even want to finish the game's story before they release it. It's still unclear but there are a bunch of animated shorts that kinda tease how the Genshin anime could look like, so I highly recommend you checking those out after this if you want to :)

This game is massive. There are 7 nations, each nation inspired by a real world place in a certain time. In order: Monstadt: mideval europe (netherlands and germany specifically) Liyue: golden age of china Inazuma: historic Japan Sumeru: golden age of forest india/egyptian desert Fontaine: fantasy steam punk french renaissance Natlan: a mix of many African and south american cultures. Arlecchino is one of those characters that is both a villain and isn’t, and the reason they call her “father” is cause before she ran the “house of harth” it was ran by someone that went by “mother”, and “mother” was not a good person. So when Arlecchino took over she decided to be the opposite of “mother” who acted cheerful and caring but wasn’t, becoming the “father” that is cold but actually caring. Also Furina is the best.

I've been playing since 1.5 and I agree with those who say Natlan is not good. Natlan would be good if it wasn't part of Tevyat or Genshin. However, it's bad because it's part of Genshin. Nathlan doesn't fit the concept of Genshin at all. If you're a true old player then you'll understand what I mean. What's more disappointing is that before Nathlan was released Neuvillette claims Natlan is a land of dragons and wars, but as you can see, there are no dragons but it's filled with Saurians and the world is very colorful. Like a playground lol.

If you want to hear him more... definitely recommend you check out the Collected Miscellany. He Narrates most of them (only a couple aren't voiced by him, including the newer ones due to the VA strike...) The only exceptions are voiced by a woman known as Alice (idk her VA.. that's the character's name) for in-game reasons. Aloy, the Horizon Zero Dawn crossover character, is voiced by her due to being an outworlder. Dori, a merchant from Sumeru who has worked with Alice before... I can't remember who else off the top of my head... And recent ones had not been voiced due to scheduling possibly as well as the Strike against AI threatening the VA's jobs.

Yae Miko is actually somewhere over five hundred years old. She is based off of Kitsune from Chinese and Japanese(more-so Japanese as she is from Inazuma, which is based off Japan more than China)... they gain tails every hundred years they live... so a five-tailed Kitsune is over five hundred but younger than six hundred. They go up to nine tails... Hoyoverse, started as Mihoyo, refers to the multi-verse the Company created. They have four games I know of... Honkai Impact 3rd(the oldest of the four), Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail(i recommend u check it out), and Zenless Zone Zero. They also have different versions of characters between games... Like Raiden Shogun is the Genshin Impact version of Raiden Mei of HI3 (Honkai Impact 3rd)... HSR and HI3 have a Bronya and Seele.... HI3 has a Yae Sakura, while Genshin has Yae Miko... HSR also has a version of Raiden Mei/Raiden Shogun in 'Acheron' aka Raiden Bosamori Mei....

11:33 Yeah, you're right, I have the highest rank that is 60 and it took me, I believe, 2 years of everyday gameplay, but most of the time now I'm playing from 30 minutes to 2 hours a day, which is not that much because of the lesser content I'm getting as an endgame player. However, new players always have a ton of things to do and it takes time to upgrade. 13:40 It's f2p, but gacha games like Genshin are known for banner system: you can get wishes/"tickets" to obtain certain characters, most of the time you need at least 70-80 pulls for each 5-star, of course you can get lucky and get a character within just 1 pull, but not everyone can be this fortunate. So, people spend real money in the game's shop to buy more wishes with in-game currency. But, honestly, if you really play and finish all of the content, you can get a 5-star almost every patch (so, every 2 months). At the same time, you also receive rewards every so often. And events give you enough primogems (in-game currency) to buy wishes/pulls. The problem is how time consuming Genshin is. That's the reason why some refuse to play such games if they're not spending any money.

@mless If you would play 2-3 months almost everyday for 2-5 hours (depends on how much free time do you have) you could easily catch up with the main story and reach rank 40-50. But do consider that you should put in priority your time and willingness to play. Don't force yourself or you could lose interest very quickly 😂 And also. Try to complete story quests in the first place, because then you could just focus on ther things. Like exploring the world by solving puzzles, openin chests, playing music rhythm games, card games, etc. In Genshin you can do almost everything. Furthermore, the lore is actually CRAZY. So, you will definitely love this if you pay attention to story!

@@mless Starting from scratch, I would say on average 3-4 hours a week would get you to a point where you'd slowly catch up with the game (that's what I did, but it took me almost 3 years to catch up). Some people have done it in only a few months by playing a lot. If you only follow the main story, it can go a lot quicker, but a lot of the lore is "hidden" in side quests and so there is a lot of content if you want to do/see everything.

I'd say the real trick here was that, as people expected before Genshin Impact came out, it was heavily based on the success of Breath of the Wild (a Zelda game) - except the developers actually thought things through and realized the secret to that game's success wasn't really in innovative gameplay or even what that game in itself was presenting of its setting: it was that Breath of the Wild was drawing on decades of Zelda lore and so its players found far more meaning in the world around them than the developers actually put into their latest effort. So to make Genshin Impact it was necessary to worldbuild to a similarly tremendous extent: you can safely assume every single NPC with a name has connections with other people, it is far more likely that an odd-seeming bit of the world has some story behind it than the reverse, and if you know just where to look to do your reading even types of ornamental rocks and trees have paragraphs of lore to be found. There ARE one or two presently-barren areas, which are places where the story has yet to take the main character (there is one) yet which are sufficiently in the way of getting from point A to B that it doesn't make much sense to still deny access. (I'm assumed sooner or later some event will bring us there, and they'll get properly fleshed out.)

@@bookswithike3256 That's certainly the biggest and the part that's not just been developed but opened for passage; while the top part of the water locks between Liyue and Fontaine probably should be more fleshed out it's at best facilitated last years' after-Lantern Rite traveling and as you seem to diegetically have waypoint travel (I suspect Paimon's presence is fuzzing out causality to do that "go back to when you were there and add more to the objective timeline" trick the Nameless canonically pull all the time in Star Rail) it's possible that even in-setting you didn't take it following Neuvillette back. For areas the devs haven't actually opened up yet are suspiciously empty, I also think I've seen some work done on Mondstat's northern borders, but while there ought to be a port in the northeast it's unlikely we'll head there until we've at least seen the final archon and are ready for all those big lore drops that have always been barely visible behind Mondstadt's curtain of peace. There also really ought to be a sea route from Port Ormos to Inazuma (it's always seemed odd that you have a Waverider call point at the former yet are effectively landlocked if you use it) and so I assume there should be interesting stuff in the way the devs haven't gotten to.

Yes, the game is is grind hard kr pay for the characters. While at the same time, paying makes the game so easy that it ruins the Story experience. Even as a f2p Player you are commonly just way to overpowered for everyone and proceed to kill the Boss in 3 Hits anyways. The boss dies in one hit if you pay. Therefore I play the story using only the Weakest characters of the game, or Solo Traveler instead of with a team all together.

Gotta say, Arlecchino is still my favorite release. She might not be my favorite character at the moment(debatable) but I was the most hyped for her release than I had and have ever been. She brought a whole new vibe to the game. Genshin is generally very light hearted and never really dove much into dark stuff unless you read the lore. But since the beginning, Father brought a whole sense of horror and death(fitting considering she's portrayed like a grim reaper). It was such a complete vibe shift from the game that never even so much as showed blood and actual deaths. It's clear that Mavuika and Arlecchino are Hoyo's golden children so far. They got the most production.

I've been playing for nearly 2 years and completely f2p. It's not actually that bad since the game gives you a lot of stuff for free. Unless of course you want every character. I pretty much have every character I want and even have some signature weapons. Some people say it takes a long time, but that depends on perspective. I love the exploration aspect of the game so collecting gambling funds is pretty fun and easy for me. 😂 As for the lore, let's just say, even the fruit you pick up from the ground in this game has lore. That should tell you how complex the lore is 😂

So, a bit of info. There are 7 elements, and each one has a God, or "Archon". The Archons so far, are Venti (Anemo/Wind) Zhongli (Geo/Stone) Raiden Shogun (Electro), Nahida (Dendro/Nature), Furina (Hydro/Water), and Mavuika (Pyro/Fire) which is why their trailers have a bit more kick to them, and have a bit more theme to their Nation's story. Each element has its own corresponding nation that each God/Archon oversee

The game updates every 6 weeks ❤ You mentioned the animators working overtime, what Hoyoverse (the game company that makes these games: think blizzard is to WoW and Fromsoft is to Elden Ring, etc.) does is they hire professional animators and have a team. They are a Chinese company so they already work really hard. Then they teamed up with the local University and they take on interns. Free work but the interns get experience to put on a resume and thats how they are able to get massive projects done with such consistency. Its kind of a beautiful program! Because everyone benefits. The professional team gets help, the interns get good recommendations and experience and potential job opportunities to work there, and hoyo stays on schedule ❤ but they also do work really hard. They're Asian ❤😂 I get to say that because I am Asian and its kind of a cultural thing. They have lots of workaholics. Not really the healthiest but trust me they're not hurting for cash. Hoyo makes millions! Off of a free to play mobile game 😂 it is really easy to get super invested. I did ❤ Its my new favorite game ❤

@ you have no idea Though don’t worry that much about the lore Most regions story (save for the most recent) have been mostly self contained with a couple of lore reveals near the end of each nations main quest line With most in the lore side of the community already knew that reveal years ago from item descriptions and that kind of stuff As the most recent region (natlan) is kinda a being the beginning of a new era of genshin narrative where the deep lore is becoming more incorporated into the main story So yea the lore goes deep
