It is super funny that every time she said "where's the ultimate at?" Her literally just missed it😂 Every playable character can have a vision and can only have 1 element/vision. Except for Traveller. Catalyst user are the most unique weapon type. Because they can fight using some of the unique objects like camera(Charlotte), gauntlet(Wriothesley), cane(Neuvillete), bare fist(Heizou), bomb(klee), shark/pufferfish floaties(Mualani) and others just like you saw in the trailer. If you didn't see the sword, claymore, bow or spear, that character most likely a catalyst user and use some unique weapon usually.

she talks a lot so she has no idea what's going on, she's only paying attention to cinematics and completely misses and misinterprets everything else, doesn't read the character description most of the time and asking ”what's the ult” literally after it happens...sigh

- Those trailers mostly show characters (like personality) and what their power looks like, but if you want to learn more about how they work/how to use them there is a separate playlist for it you can watch (collected miscellany) or search for character building guides - Characters might look weak, but they have their own roles (something like main attack dealer, damage booster, off-field damage dealer, healer, shielder, etc.) - 4 stars usually have weaker demos compared to 5 star characters - There's only 5 weapon types (sword, claymore(bigger sword), polearm(long shaft sword?), bow, and catalysts (books/hands) and 7 elements. Because of this, you will often see characters with same weapon and element type. How they can be differentiated is what do they provide the team with. Another is how much you like them personally (story, personality, fighting style, voice, appearance, etc.) For ex, there are players who don't care how good/mid/bad they are, and just wish for whoever they love.

Their gem (vision) color usually gives away which element they're using, abilities alone often confuse in color or usage with other elements such with Albeido having a Orange/Yellow vision, meaning he uses the Geo element. Yellow/Orange - Geo Turquoise/Cyan - Anemo Light Blue - Cryo Dark Blue - Hydro Red - Pyro Purple - Electro Green - Dendro

Yay! The trailer reactions are here! Albedo is a little tricky to tell, but he is geo. Sayu is an anemo character, but dhe uses a claymore (greatsword) lile Noelle which may have been why you were confused. Gorou is another tricky one, because not only is he geo, but he mainly buffs other characters, so it is hard to show that in a trailer without explaining it. It's the reason why the gro traveler is with him in the trailer though, as he is basically an exclusive geo buffer. Yun Jin is similar to Gorou in that she is a geo character that focuses on buffing other characters mainly, she buffs normal attacks though so doesn't need to be run with other geo characters. Shenhe is a buffer, similar to Gorou she buffs an element, just cryo instead of geo. Faruzan is the fourth elemental damage buffer (along with Kujou Sara for electro, Gorou for geo, Shenhe for cryo, and then Faruzan for Anemo) she is an incredibly strong character for buffing anemo dps's especially when you have her at c6 (getting max copies of her). Wriothesly is cryo, and his weapon is catalyst (the book like what Lisa uses) they just have been more creative with what catalyst characters can be and do. Chiori is in fact geo, she mostly is used as an off field sub dps and is quite good at it. Xilonen is also geo, she is a buffer/healer so her actual combat abilities are a little tricky to show as well. I hope you had fun watching these!

HII SHONYX!!!! PLEASE READ THIS The move that Keqing did that you said you liked is called a ground pound, and you can do it with any character as long as you have some type of height. For example, if your gliding over an enemy base all you have to do is hold down on your attack button and it will do a significant amount of damage as long as the enemies are within radius of the ground pound. you can travel underwater in genshin!! but only in fontaine (its the nation of hydro) EVERY character has an element & a weapon. usually the element just matches the characters design colour palette!!! all the possible weapons are claymore, polearm, sword, bow & catalyst. characters that seem like they "dont have a weapon" are usually catalysts, like mualani.. wriothesley.. neuvillette.. yae miko... heizou.. etc. and characters that seem like they "dont have an element" or its "tricky to tell" are prolly geo.. like albedo, xilonen etc. also, regarding emilie, no, she doesn't and can't have 2 elements. a playable character can only have ONE element and ONE vision. there is a quest in inazuma where a character DOES kind of have 2 visions.. but i wont spoil much on that. sorry if this is confusing lol, i find it hard wording stuff sometimes. im so glad you liked gaming btw!! hes my fav character and i love him with all my heart!!!! :3

To know the lements of each character, pause at the moment the name is shown. There will be a line of the 7 elements, with the one of the character either bigger or in color. And most of the time, they're color-matched with their elements: Red Pyro Orange Geo Purple Electro Green Dendro Light blue Cryo Dark blue Hydro Normally, the color of the element is the primary one, but for some chars like Wriothesley, it shows more in the details of the line on the wolf symbol on his front, or the glow of his gloves. Or you can just look around him when he punches, to see ice shards.

Man, you can really tell how far they've come with the animation quality. The first few "character trailers" were pretty much just advertisements for the game rather than fully focusing on the individual characters. Shows how much more budget they have right now. 44:45 Favourite outfit: Furina, Favourite Playstyle: It's a tie between Neuvillette and Nahida, but we'll see, some of the new characters coming out might overthrow them (im personally very excited for Columbina) 5:33 Yes, she's a Chinese style zombie called a Jiangshi. They are basically bodies that are reanimated by that yellow talisman on her forehead. 12:07 Nope, she's not Jean's daughter, but the Knights collectively "raise" her in a sense. Fun fact, Klee is a canon "criminal" HAHA she's leveled mountains with her bombs. 15:45 He can more than double wield in lore, BUT unfortunately in game, you can only equip him with a bow. He's classified as a bow user. 19:22 IKR Zhongli's character demo is a classic! The genshin community has this collective, unspoken agreement where every new trailer that comes out, we go back to Zhongli's trailer and watch it again . XD 26:00 Eh close enough. He does plunge attacks for big damage. Jump and plunge. Community jokingly does fanarts of him on a pogostick. They've done well to edit the videos in a way to make support characters look good in the newer trailers. 1:12:35 The reason why there was no dendro characters before this is because playable dendro was only released when Sumeru was released. Playable dendro is much newer than the other elements, that's why you'll find there's a sudden influx of dendro after this patch to even out the ratio of elements. 1:29:17 IKR girl! When i first saw Wanderer's trailer, my brain failed to compute for a full minute. 1:31:53 The ages in this game are all over the place. Cant trust their looks. We have 500 years old looking children, 2000 years old looking like teenagers, and a 6000 year old man who somehow hasn't broken his back yet. And then you have the completely normal children who have access to bombs and weapons. It's hilarious. 1:49:30 Yep, underwater exploration is only in Fontaine. 1:57:05 IKR, in my opinion, the game really up-ed their standards from Fontaine onwards. Love the world design, the character design, the gameplay, and it's free. Well some people spend thousands on it but I haven't spent a single penny. Honestly I think it might be better that way. Getting a 5-star character you wanted feels much more meaningful that way. And it's not THAT hard. Like, you might miss out on a few characers you wanted, but you'll get maybe around half of them.

Most of the characters that are used as supports/healers (such as qiqi, mona, gorou etc), they dont have the most flashy skills since they aren't on field half the time, but they are still very useful to your party! If you want to know more about their skills in depth, the 'collected miscellany' cover that! And my favourite character i Wanderer (but mainly because of his story)! Im sure you'll find you like some characters more based on their lore rather than skill set the further you get into the game :D

New sub, w vid sista 💯 Word of warning tho, don't fall into the "this character looks weak, I'm not gonna play 'em" trap. Not every character is strong in that they do good damage. Everyone has a utility, be it DPS, support (buffing, attack speed, etc) healing, shielding, crowd control, traversal... everyone in the game is good at something. You just gotta read into the characters & research what they do for yourself. Thankfully, you can do that in the Character Archive in the pause menu. And yea, like everyone else said, if you wanna learn more about each character, watch the Collected Miscellany videos. They go *waaay* more in-depth with abilities & talents than what you saw here. Hey Shonyx, just a little tip for you about knowing a character's element. Every element has their own color & every character has a color palette that reflects their own element to some degree. Some are more visible than others but they do have a color in their models that shows their element. Like yellow for geo, red for pyro, blue for hydro or green for dendro.

Yes Shonyx in the hydro region called Fontaine you can explore underwater with any character, and inazuma is actually inspired by Japan, that's why it reminds you of it. Liyue is inspired by China and Fontaine by France. I'm not sure about the other regions though.

You love Xialing well you will get her just by doing the quests. You don't need to gacha for her. QiQi is a Chinese zombie, nothing like western zombies. Mona is not weak, she is a five star character. Weather a character is weak or strong depends on the formation of your team. Yes childe is a fatui, the harbingers are the elite fatui. Is there anything super special about Ganyu? Yeah she is IMO the best AOE character in the game. IMO Yae Miko is one of the most terrifying characters in the story.

I feel like the trailers you react introduce the character's introduction and not just their gameplay. - overtime, it’s more cinematic and less showcase of their skill and ult.

Notice you're frequently looking for the characters powers and what they can do. Character trailers are more to introduce the characters in general with a little bit of their story and skills. There's another called 'Collected Miscellany' or something, that'll show you everything about character skills, abilities, ultimate and so on.

Nahida is SUPER useful, both in combat and in the overworld. Totally worth pulling if you're new, she enables so many Dendro reaction teams and is a good driver on her own, plus she makes collecting materials out in the overworld a breeze since you can just use her skill to grab up to 5 items at a distance as long as you can see them.

Genshin whole mechanics are playing with elemental reactions. For example, when hydro meets pyro, vaporize reaction will occur. So, they cant really show that in demo since it's not visible (except free when hydro meet cryo). Also, each character hv their own role, which are dps who deals the most damage, healer, shielder, buffer that buff your dps dmg output, shred etc. Other than that, only 5 stars character hv their own special animation for ult/burst while 4 stars didn't hv one. Here, u play them as teams that synergize well with elemental reactions. For example, nahida used to apply dendro to enemies so that yelan can provide hydro to crate bloom reaction and deal dmg to enemies. As for now, hydro is the most powerful and broken element since hydro can make any reaction with every element and the reaction output also are high, while some element cannot interact w each other. Like, dendro and anemo will not produce any elemetal reaction which is why they are not synergize.
