btw the narrator wasn't aether, it was the guy at the very end. He is the narrator explaining character demos as well and has tea on every character lmao. He has a huge role in the story and you'll meet him later in the game if you keep playing!

There is a lot packed in this Trailer. First, it was narrated by Dainslief, the character that appeared last before Aether. Second, you are right! Every region comes with a little preview of the music for that reason. Third, the title of the chapters, Latin subtitles and what Dain says about the archon of each region are some of the things that all lore enthusiasts get excited about. Basically, Genshin’s story is already planned out, and the Travail Trailer is a sneak peek of what’s to come and what to stay excited about for future updates. Great Reaction as always. If you want to stay clear of big spoilers you shouldn't watch the " A Winter Night's Lazzo" cinematic and finish the inazuma storyline first. Because it shows you how all the Harbingers look, but it spoilers important story stuff about 2 of them.

Something to note is that this trailer was released before the game came out. It was still in beta so only Mondstadt and Liyue were released. Also the narrator is Dainsleif but the first voice in the trailer was Aether.

I recommend reading the manga, you can find it on the official site. It only takes a few hours to read. It's a prologue and it features the characters: Amber, Venti, Jean, Diluc, Kaeya and Lisa. Also the upcoming character Collei from Sumeru. It gives you a bit more background of the story of the characters, Mondstadt and the world. I loved it! I think it will make it easier for players to understand the story of the game.

When you eventually get to Raiden Shogun - after you do the Inazuma archon quests, I'd highly recommend you also do the world quest called Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual, along with Raiden's story quests acts 1 and 2. That will continue the Inazuma arc and give you more context into Inazuma's past. It's a good wrap up to Inazuma and the Shogun. :)

Just one thing: I know new stuff is always super exciting and yes unfortunately Hoyoverse hides much interesting lore in time restricted events but please take your time. You'll have a much longer and greater experience if you don't rush through the content. I also recommend to only pull for characters, whose region you've already reached because they need the materials from this region. So maybe for your first pulls concentrate on upcoming reruns first. For example zhongli who reruns next patch. 😀 Also: I recommend not watching every video on the genshin channel since they contain loads of major spoilers.

The one narrating is not Aether. It was dainsleif. The guy that appears at the end before Aether. He addresses the traveler as "You" like he was trying to warn us about what is going to happen in Teyvat (the world where genshin takes place). Funny thing is, characters don't use she/he pronouns to refer to the traveler unless they are with them in person. So the she that Dain is talking about is still unknown
