I like this matchup a lot! I'm thinking Sylvaneth are going to pull it out, but this is only the 2nd batrep I've seen with the new GHB, so it could very easily go either way with new battle tactics. Regardless, I'm excited to see what happens!

We are excited for the new season! It is going to shake up the whole game. I am sure it is going to take us a few games to really get a grasp on all the changes. We think both Soulblight and Sylvaneth will be much stronger in this new season.

IT was a close game for sure. I was really impressed with the gravelords scoring because the Sylvaneth were just slapping out the damage but couldnt grab those objectives.

Quick note: Lords of the Clan is 2 treelord ancients unfortunately :(. Edit: And Gorslav is unique so does not qualify as a GC sadly :(

I've played Mannfred in a ton of games. Every time I've not used his command ability, I've regretted it. He's the best buff wagon in Soulblight.

Soulblight, you were legion of night, so manfred was a general in addition. It meant you still had a general after the VLOZD was killed, so you still got the command point AND you get the 2+ heroic action. The general rules FAQ’s confirmed this.

@@BattleshockWargaming Also, because He is a general, you could have used the SBGL battle tactic to use his hunger ability, which could have edged out the game for you. It doesn't have to be your chosen general, just a general.
