I told myself to wait buying a Thrawn figure until I saw what Hasbro would do with the Lars Mikkelsen headsculpt, and I think they nailed it. Definitely going to buy the Lars-version instead of the comic-version. Thanks for another great review Matt!

This Thrawn looks more like from the Thrawn Novel cover dark blue skin tone. Great review Matt!

Thrawn looks great with Enoch and the night trooper, just got them delivered along with the mercenary Baylan. Your shin looks great, especially the hair, did you just give it a wash and if that was it what color wash? I should be getting the target Shin whenever I find one in store so I’ll have an extra because I already modified the heights on my original ones.

Yeah, I just got Enoch and the Night Trooper as well. They do look great together. For Shin, I just used some homemade wash with black acrylic paint. I made it pretty thin so the hair would be too dark. It helped a little I think. 👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks for checking out the review! 👊

@@Matt_Bryant thank you, I may have to try that out, thankfully the cloak still looks good on Baylan after the height was increased but Shin’s hair just looks bad straight out of the box, I think that wash and painting the black tie really helps it. I think I’ll do that once I get the target exclusive version

Awesome review! I’m super excited for this figure as a huge Rebels and Ahsoka series fan! This figure of Thrawn looks so much better to me than the Rebels version. I’m looking at getting the Masters of Evil 3 pack since I don’t have any of those characters and it includes this figure with the creature as an extra accessory! The work you did on Shin looks awesome btw! It makes the figure look better! Did you do the leg swap too?

Thanks very much. I do think this version looks really good. The Masters of Evil set is perfect if you don't have those characters. And yes, Thrawn does come with the Ysalamiri. A nice bonus! Thanks for commenting on Shin. I think it does look better. I did not do the leg swap. I just have Baylan on a stand, and Shin is crouched. I appreciate you checking out the review!

Ah ok I see the stand now. I didn’t notice the stand the first time but I remember you mentioning before in a tour video. Thought maybe you decided to do the leg swap. I’d like to get the newer Shin Hati that’s coming out with the cloak but it still has the same height issue so I still might pass on this one. I’m sure they’ll come out with a new one for season 2 and they’ll have the height fixed by then you’d think! I like how you show us what the figures look like on your shelf! It’s a nice update to your collection!

That sculpt looks top notch; particularly the head. If I were Lars I'd have a bunch of those to hand out to family at Christmas. 😁 Hasbro jist need to improve the articulation. The actor may be knocking on in age, but the character is a badass. I haven't seen the Ashoka show so don't know if Thrawn still hones his martial skills with training droids. The "I have a migraine" hand is a pleasant change from the ubiquitous C-grip, or blaster hand they give us nine times out of ten. Shin looks better for your paint tweaks. Matt.

Incredible sculpt. I think they nailed the likeness. As for the Ahsoka show, he just stood there and said things. Gotta love that voice... We didn't get see anything like that training sequence in Rebels. Yes, the open left hand was a nice surprise. I'll take that over the c-grip if they're not going to firing a weapon with two hands. I’m pleasantly surprised that this new Thrawn’s height matches the Rebels figure. I’d normally assume that his blaster is just a live action translation of his Rebels blaster but this “realistic” one looks vastly different, I wished the prop resembled the animation model more closely.

Yeah, the height is pretty much the same. As for the blaster, not sure why they changed it for the live action version. It's a cool weapon, but I've always loved the RK-3. Thanks for watching, Dill!

@@Matt_Bryant As far as I know it's closely related to/ derived from Ulf which is a Swedish name, and in old Norse it means wolf. Also in Danish a wolf is called Ulv. So there's definitely a pattern 🙂

@@Matt_Bryant I'm actually going to have to watch Rebels, aren't I?...I've never committed to properly viewing it. What I've seen, I did like. For instance, I loved Sabine, and she was the first figure I hunted down and paid over retail for, once I'd realised I could buy BS stuff on that weird thing called the interwebnet 5 years ago! My problem with Rebels, was I watched bits of it all over the place when I first got "posh and expensive" TV, 10 years ago on Cartoon Network. I'd watch S1, E6, then S2, E9, then S1, E 14.... I think I have managed to see most of S1-3, but none of S4 whatsoever.
