The need a decent set up. I have 2. This one, plus the natural. My Natural has been fully modded. Tailgate, bridge, tuners, nut, pickups and electrics. It's of the same quality of the Gibson made model now. Using loads of the same parts. My olive one will be getting the same. Worth it for sure.

@@chrisprescottguitar well if I could only pick one it would be the ABM 1504n Trapeze Tailpiece the difference in the way the strings behaved were night and day. It's German made, is longer, designed well, The Chinese one is hollow cheap rubbish . The electrics and pickups are ok. But Tuners, ( I used Groover vintage) Bridge, ( Gohto Nashville style) and (All parts Epiphone) bone nut made it a great guitar.

Was GAS'ing for a Casino when these olive drabs first came out. Got over it fairly quickly when I saw Sweetwater finally had Yamaha Revstar Element models back in stock. Not the same, but chambered all mahogany construction that's super resonant acousticly. I would have almost certainly upgraded at least the pickups on the Casino. The black Element I chose has every part except the bridge and tailpiece upgraded. I had the majority of the stuff for the build already. When I'm sitting around on the couch, I grab for it and play unplugged more often than not. Definitely not as open sounding as a Casino, but you'd be surprised how loud it can get. I always compare it to a thinline Tele. That's the closest sounding guitar I can think of?

Interesting. I’ve never played a revstar so hadn’t considered them as a similar thing. I’m pretty happy with the casino as stock besides wanting to sort the pickguard and truss rod cover, but there is something nice about having a modding platform. Haven’t found any issues with the pickups yet but may change the bridge and tuners. It’s all part of the fun I suppose! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Nothing else sounds like a Casino. Gibson 330 is the closest.

@@marccarter1350 Yep, the Casino is it's own thing for sure. For the price of them(Revstar included) you can't go wrong with either. The build quality and consistency, are from what I've seen, outstanding.The Yamaha is a bit more modern, and easily modified with common parts. The Casino is somewhat limited in that category. But then again, it's actually spec'd out pretty decent for that price point. Maybe just some better tuners would be all I'd swap, besides Lollar pickups.

@@andrewbecker3700 I have upgraded everything on my Casinos, Tuners, bridge, Tailgate, Bone nut, pickups, full electric loom. Limited it is not. There are loads of mods for these. It's a really modders guitar. It's now inline with the USA built ones, upgraded to loads of the same parts at well under half the price of those.

I got a schecter demon for my birthday also approx £300 also got it 4 months before and also had to sit and look at it for months.

I have the same guitar in the ebony. LOVE IT! They are such a great guitar. I wouldn't change sweet fa on mine. Would i try different pick ups eventually?, yeh no doubt. But do i feel the need to, not at all. I'll have my Epi Casino till the day i die! Thanks

Yeah I think I’m the same. I don’t feel the need to change anything at the moment. I’m reading a lot about how they need a new bridge but it seems to be fine. I’ll have to investigate whether it’s already been changed. To be fair a good set up fixes most issues. Thanks for watching!

@@nathanbottrell2529 I definitely would. Although I saw a great video by Jack Fossett where he uses an EQ pedal and it really improves the sound of the pickups, I’d probably try that first
