Great video. I'm always interested in trying new innovative products but lately I feel like we are being overwhelmed, and the detail industry is becoming oversaturated with way too many products. The same things everyone has clowned Chemical Guys about, these other brands seem to be doing the same.

Maintain is a stand-alone that gives 3-6 months. Going over the interior quarterly would mean every 3 months, so basically the basecoat "is not needed". I know it is not that simple math, yet feels like it. Similar thing is that if I have to maintain my ceramic coating with a topper product, what is the ceramic giving me then since the topper is on the top...

Bit of a sceptic with all these products for things we never knew we needed, if you buy the purifier and the top up its £50.00 simply cannot justify these costs John but I do love your videos and not everything is going to be a hit so for me its a no, got lovely smelling interior cleaners that work perfectly. I appreciate the pricing of items is not down to you but keep up brilliant work buddy.

you could just go for the maintain product if on a budget. Purify coat you get a lot a bit like cancoat it might be hard for non pro to use it all up. But fair play this is great feedback

I dont think it does its really sole purpose is a active film of material which kills germs and stuff thats it. Could be onto a good idea there thoug. combine it with protective dressing and boom

@@ForensicDetailing Yeh I'd love a product that can do both. Just layer it on once a year or something and just do simple wipe downs the rest of the year. Alternatively having a 3-6 months protection in a regular detailer, like if they added UV / dirt protection to that maintain spray, it would be great, then you'd probably never need to do a full coating. Carbon Collective Nuovo seems interesting on that front, although it doesn't promise anti-microbial effects. That said, a damp microfibre is often anti-microbial enough for general use where full disinfection isn't required.

yer its hard to know really as it does not create a scent I think I just plan to swap it after about 4-6 months. so this pack should be used for about 2 years on this car.

Great video as always! Gyeon have too many products for me now, getting too confusing. Not related to this video, but any chance you could do a ‘forensic’ test on slow speed rotary finishes vs da and measure gloss? Lots of channels suggest rotary makes it glossier :)

Something i've heard too and never managed to get the results. I was getting haziness/holograms when finishing with a rotary on an E30 with koch M3 and purple pad

There's so many variables but the abrasive is delivering the finish, the pad type works the abrasive, the machine moves the pad with different dynamics. But all machines on foam should be capable of maxing out the finish with right abrasive. Sometimes rotary on low speed backed off the panel can be a good shout on bad soft paint. But yer generally all machines can cut and finish. Maybe we could do a test.

I love interior detailed, smells great, can double up as window cleaner and it’s alcohol based so as a nurse, it’s satisfying that it kills bacteria.. other cleaner I got is carpro inside which i think the Gyeon is much better product

Gyeon is one of the most solid brands out there with a fantastic line of products. They also are almost second to none in product design, branding and support for their resellers and accredited detailers. However, Gyeon is also and regularly pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable in marketing. As far as I know, there are some rather strict and clear rules and regulations of when you are allowed to label your products to be disinfecting and antibacterial. So, where is the proof that what Gyeon claims is actually true? Where are the clinical studies? Similarly, I usually like the content you publish a lot, John. You are one of the most thorough testers and reviewers out there. And I know this is going to be rather direct and brutally honest, but i truly believe you haven‘t done yourself and the credibility of your channel a favor with this video. Claiming that those products by Gyeon kill ALL bacteria is very, very, very bold. Again, where is the proof? You usually are very good at prooving what you claim or, at the very least, coming up with testing methods to check whether the brands‘ claims are true. But here, you just repeated what Geon is claiming. I hope that there will be a follow-up video to this introductionary product presentation.

you have to tick a disclaimer Andreas. This creates a pop up banner every time you watch the video which says "payed for promotion" which to me is a pretty unambiguous phrase which makes it clear. I cant build the video around how you want me to do the disclaimer. I have to follow you tube guidelines. We have around 1600 unsponsored videos on the channels and around a total of 30 sponsored. Thats a pretty decent strike rate for me and without channel sponsors there would be no content because I wouldnt be able to do this. So yer I feel really lucky to be able to work with brands like Gyeon. I need them a lot more than they need me.

@forensicdetailing Hi mate. It’s alcohol based, you need minimum 60% alcohol in hand sanitizer to be effective. Gyeon interior detailer has 60% alcohol so it’s good enough as a disinfectant/steriliser 😉

Hi John, could you put purify over Fabric Coat? Does Fabric Coat cure? Gyeon say that Fabric Coat is Silica-based but also say allow it to cure, so I'm a little confused 😅 I'm assuming that you can't use it over Fabric Coat as it is Silica-based. The Odour Remover is a great product for us pet owners. Something to get the smell of damp dog out the car, after an outing in damp/wet weather. If there's a puddle or a pond, my previous dog was definitely going into it 😂

I tend to think of purify coat that you could put on any hard surface rather than a fabric. So all the hard stuff you touch. But I could be wrong but I dont use it on fabric.

Gyeon leads the way once again with innovative products. While other companies have similar products, it's nothing to the level that Gyeon takes it with a purify coating that last upwards of a year. Most of those other similar products last about a week in being able to kill off microbes, bad things, etc. Then you have to reapply them. These products seem to be longer acting. Is there any scent to these products? Or are they odorless?

I know the smell you mean John 😂. I think some of it is from the sound deadening aging over time. Its a proper waxy, oily smell but i think ive become smell blind to jt over summer. Ill see if its still there when she comes out of winter storage.

Jon you've absolutely hit the nail on the head with something that's always bugged me! Iv got an E92 M3 and it's always had that previous owner smell to the interior, iv throughly cleaned it a few times and put a new air freshener in. Each time the air freshener wears off the previous owner smell comes back lol 🤦‍♂️ annoying as heck! Iv cleaned the leather seats properly and steering wheel (I have a new gear stick) so the only other possible places would be the headliner and seatbelts and the carpets (they are my floor mats) Would the bottle of odor remover be a good product to spray into the headliner and seat belts?

Well Iv sprayed about half a bottle in the head liner 😂 it brought that old Lynx body spray and cigarette smell where I could smell it again so hopefully when it all drys nice it should get rid of the odor 🤞🏼 I like that the product itself doesn't have an odor to it too 👍

Gyeon produce products for every scenario. Detailers (especially their certified detailers) will use them more often. I think the thought process is for customers to purchase the regular interior cleaners, if you need something for a specific purpose (a 1 off requirement), then they also have those products available for you as well. If you are hygiene conscious, or like John suggested work in the healthcare or food industry, or even a taxi driver/chauffeur, then coating your vehicle once every 9-12months would be beneficial. I would certainly use it if I was in one of those fields, or even back in Covid times.

I like the idea of purify range. There is a large black hole of knowledge missing. What is the active ingredient? How does it bond to surfaces for 12 months, how do I know its not rubbed off by abrrasion or chemicals. How can you tell if the product is even working? I'm a little bit sceptical if I'm honest because without that understanding I'm to automatically give Gyeon my trust. Not that they are untrustworthy its just in my nature until I understand what is within the shroud of this new product range is.

I don't think it's like a bonding sealants as such. If you wipe it with alcohol based cleaner you will remove it. If you cover it in silicone dressing you loose the benefit, it can't do it's thing. So if you go for it. You can clean cockpit with purify maintain (or just use this on its own)

@ @ Thanks, I’m sure if it did you would’ve mentioned it. I’ve used the Autoglym one in the past but smell makes me feel sick now. Same as anything cotton fresh in the house can’t stand it anymore. Along with Gtechniq Tri Clean, I get fatigued by the scent they make me feel sick. Was hoping it would smell like Prep. But no scent is fine if it works

Watch out for the Gyeon Interior Detailer. It can stain and remove color from leather seats. Took the color off mine becaurse of the alcohol content.

Ive used the interior and thought it was ok, nice smell and ok finish.. i use something else now which i feel gives a better finish Dont see the benefit of purify personally as the only people that get in my car i live with and even the vans at work where it could have a benefit i work with them The only way of building immunity to these viruses is to be exposed to them and even if i wanted to use a product to kill them any anti viral with 70% alcohol will do that..

I think the interior detail is just a cleaner. Your right most alcohol based stuff kills virus. But the usp with the purify coat is it stays active for a year.

@@MeliorIllethe sds sheets are not on the website yet. There are a lot of Antimicrobial chemicals along with good old silver, and zinc that can have their properties. Been used in plastics like microban for decades. I’m sure they will release them soon then we will have an idea.
