It was likely bleached "Lighter" then the caramel toner she put over it because her hair is So dark and Thats why when she used the purple shampoo it seemed lighter to her ;)

I have a balayage myself and the purple shampoo doesn't lighten your hair drastically. Its toning it so it wont look brassy or too yellow. It fades away on its self and you only use it once a week for maintenance. Other washes with hydrating shampoo because blonde hair gets dry and you need to add moisture to the hair. Hopefully this helps

Best balayage transformation I’ve seen!! Looks amazing and healthy! I have subtle balayage and have been recommended to use blue shampoo for more of the “bronde” balayage

I’m super blonde and use purple shampoo every couple of weeks. I put it in my hair dry before I shower though and depending on how brassy i feel it is then i choose how long I leave in the purple. Lol for example Today. 20 mins. Sometimes I do get a tint of purple but i like it haha and it washes out after the 3rd wash. I wash my hair daily though.

I recently dyed my hair balayage too! My natural hair is black and curly/thick hair, I was scared asf too do the balayage too luckily my stylist did a really good job! My hair doesn’t feel dry no nothing, I had to use a lot of bleach to lighten my hair it took 6 hours and a half to get my hair light😭 and my stylist also recommended me to get that conditioner/ hair mask that Mayra mentioned and I love itt😍😍

Girl the color came out bomb especially since we are in Fall 😍😃🍂🍁🍂🍁. So the product your looking for is a "color remover" basically it strips the hair color. Black hair especially boxed dye Black is one of the hardest to remove next to red, purple and blue. Honestly, a color remover is just as damaging as bleach but you can also do a bleach bath. Basically bleach + clarifying shampoo diluted with some water. If your hair is thin and brittle you can always use a deep conditioner or leave in conditioner a week or two before you bleach your hair. If you apply Coconut oil on your scalp and ends before bleaching your hair it protects your scalp and your ends. Basically its the cheaper version of Olaplex😃😃😃the brownish red your talking about is the "underlying pigment" from the black. We all have underlying pigment. Girl I have silver hair and its alot of work. I have to do a root touch up every 4 to 6 weeks. I'm a natural level 3 (dark brown). She didn't bleach a lot of your hair she did some strands the rest were the extensions that were prelightened or colored already. Girl the purple shampoo is generally for light blonde hair (level 8 9 or 10) and its to cancel put the yellow brassyness. Blue shampoo cancels out orange tones which you don't really have. I would recommend using Matrix shampoo or Joico. Matrix has one called Dark Envy for Brunettes. Girl trust me don't use purple shampoo. Try the Matrix line or even Redken. Keep in mind if you style your hair with heat everyday it dules the color faster. So try air drying your hair and cool settings on your blow dryer. If you do style with heat always use a heat protector. Girl no tea no shade but if you paid in the thousands for the hair she probably charged you mostly for the K Tips. From the looks of the video she didn't use the much bleach. It came out good but just keep all that in mind if you decide to go even lighter in the future or decide to bleach more of your natural hair and using less K Tips.

Probably used colorfix or something like that. Makes the hair pigments small enough to rinse out of your hair but if you don't wash thoroughly and use a clarifying solution afterwards to remove it all, those molecules start to swell up again, hence why the color slowly came went to dark brown.

I ligthen it a bit 2 months and a half ago is something more natural that balayage called sunkissed with no bleach.In a few weeks I will go and ligthen it more because is barely noticeable some people just dont see I changed my color lmao
