Only got the one child (nearly two) but can still relate to how hard it can be to eat out etc - especially when you’re trying to have a conversation with other people at the same time! Figure it’s worth persevering as some meals are hard work and others much better but definitely better than just being stuck home all the time! Really nice to hear you speak honestly about the challenges of parenting though as much as the good stuff. ❤

I TOTALLY get what you’re saying! As much as we love them, it’s very frustrating. I personally have learned that I am enabling their behaviors. I feel horrible about things that have happened in our past so I tend to give into everything…food, trips, etc. Just be careful because it turns into expecting,😊 as opposed to appreciating.

I never like giving parenting advice, but having raised three sons-still raising one- standards & boundaries are a must. My oldest was a terror when his younger brother would get attention. My boys (both under 4) love to do “lineups” with their hot wheels! Sometimes they stretch across the entire house! Also, I’ve got an almost two year old and a 3.5 year old, and I truly feel you so much on how hard it is to do literally anything with two. The first year of my second’s life was really hard. So definitely use as much support as you can, and don’t feel guilty about taking care of yourself away from them! Avoiding burnout is key. It gets better!!

I have a 3yo and an 18mo, and we're exactly the same when it comes to going out for dinner. It's always very chaotic, we don't seem to hold a conversation with each other or our friends/family if we're out with them. We often come back and wonder why we went in the first place. But it's good to keep going, like a necessary evil, because one day they'll be so used to going that it won't be so tough, and they'll know the deal. But for now I feel your pain, and I am in awe with how much you guys go out with the little ones :)

My daughter is 31 and I still call her my baby and probably always will!! When people were saying they couldn't believe the workers left your pool like that. I think they meant that anytime you have work done, the company doing the work usually cleans up their mess. I think they should have had the pool emptied before they started the work. It seems like it's going to be hard to get all that sediment out of it, of course I'm no pool expert, so maybe it's not complicated at all! I hope everything works out and you all get to enjoy your patio, outdoor kitchen, and pool soon!

I tried to take my 4 kids out to dinner from time to time. It wasn't fun, and by the end of dinner, I had such anxiety. I worried so much about everyone around me thinking my kids have no manners...sounds like Jackson might have a bit of jealousy that you have to have time for only Oliver. I think that is totally normal. Hair looks so cute Jen. I think the ark holds the 10 commandment stones. Moses staff and something else...maybe manna?

They will always be your babies!! When we had our third baby, which was a girl (we have 3 girls), our middle daughter did not like it at all that she had a baby sister. She promptly informed us "You take that baby BACK!" I think all kinds go through that stage. We made sure that she had special Daddy and Mama time. They do tend to get a little jealous at that age. You'll find what works for you and it'll be fine.❤

He's Indiana Grey, but I call him Indiana Jones every time he starts off on an adventure! I know he and his brother and sister would love a big box of Indiana toys to play with! Our daughter (the oldest) got super into Indiana Jones after her baby brother was born because she loves him so much. He also had an Indiana Jones themed first birthday! We did Barbenheimer Sunday! Ironically, Barbie made me more sad than Oppenheimer. I still like inception best of all the Christopher Nolan films, but Oppenheimer is a close second. It was so well made, scored, and acted. Barbie was also very well done. Lots of Easter eggs for folks who played with Barbies, and so many relatable moments for women. But yeah Barbie did really give me feels that I didn’t expect. Y’all are such compassionate human beings and it makes you excellent parents! Give yourself grace, and I’m sure your friends will always love you and want to be around you no matter what, if they are your good friends. I LOVE your hair Jenn! I hope you like it🧡

We're parents of a 4 year old and 6 month old. Yes, it is hard to do anything lol. It's even hard for my wife and I to sit down and have a conversation at home when the kids are awake. Our 4 year old seems to always want our attention lately. We're sure that stems from us having to focus on the baby more. Eating out is always difficult with young kids. We were out yesterday and our 6 month old was just super squirmy and discontent through the entire meal. I was trying to hold her and eat, it was a disaster lol. It's rough for sure, but totally worth it. It's nice hearing that others deal with the same kinds of things.

I nursed my children and didn't feel comfortable in public. You could take a 4 oz bottle of water and buy those enfamil individual packets of formula or pump and take that with you for dinner out. Also, the play tex bottles with bags are more tolerated by breastfed babies. At least they were back then.

Jen you'd be gorgeous with any color hair but I do love the red hair on you. I'm so glad you chose to go red again. So, my son is 19 and I still call him my baby haha. I remember when my son was a baby and as a toddler it was tough taking him to restaurants at times but we kept doing it so he'd get used to it. They adjust eventually of course. I bet Jackson loves being mommy's helper with baby brother. That's a great way of giving him something to do but also making him feel like he's a part of it❤. Side note I am obsessed with Dirty Dancing....Baby was her nickname but her real name was Francis. Re-watch the second ahem adult scene that takes place during the day and Johnny asks Baby what her real name is and she says "Francis, after the first woman in the cabinet." 😂...Huge hugs and love to you guys xoxo
