I like the decor you picked up. You did a nice job of decorating without it being cluttered and looking like a gift shop. Your home looks cozy. After Halloween, I do like to go back into autumn or everyday decor. I really enjoy my tradition of putting up Christmas decor the day after Thanksgiving while most people are out shopping and stuff. The morning after Thanksgiving, I like to watch a Christmas movie while I have my morning coffee and maybe a slice of pie if there's any left from the night before to get into the Christmas spirit. After that, I put on my favorite Christmas music or a Christmas station on pandora or Iheart radio, and that's when I start cleaning and decorating for Christmas. This holiday tradition gets me into the festive spirit so much. Whew.... that's a long comment!😂😂😂😂 happy decorating, Katie!

I do both fall and Halloween at once. In September. Then after Halloween I strip away the spooky and fill in the gaps with Fall decor until... Black Friday when I decorate for Christmas. That's just what my grandma always did. So I've continued it.

I live in Michigan where it is mostly old houses built in the 1920's through 1950's and every house has a huge picture/bay window in the front of the house. EVERYONE puts up their huge family Christmas tree in the window right after Halloween, Christmas is king around here! You can drive down the beautiful neighborhoods and see Christmas spiralling out from the houses to the shops, it's glorious!

Everything is so cute. I only add a few touches of Halloween decor to my fall things. I put those away when it's over but keep the fall out till Christmas decorating. That was so fun to watch where you put everything.

I love it! My kids would love for me to take away all of the fall and only have Haloween decor, but we comprimise and sprinkle halloween throughout. Then after halloween, it's just fall decor until Thanksgiving...then Christmas shines bright in every room of our house because it is my favorite time to decorate 🙂 . We even keep up the frosted trees through winter since we live in the Northeast.

Yep, I go to a slightly different decorating theme in November with some gaming birds like pheasants, and turkeys. Then add back some of the September pumpkins. I make myself wait until the day after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas. But, I watch your Christmas decorations in November for great ideas. 😂

I put fall back out for Thanksgiving and do Thanksgiving tablescapes before Christmas decorating. My favorite area was the butler’s pantry area! I have those music instrument playing skeletons too! I put them by my sons keyboard!

We live in a senior apt with a galley-size kitchen. I use the same items for Halloween over & over. The front door has a Halloween wreath, & the small table out there has a glittery pumpkin sitting atop fall leaves. A purple bell spider is perched on top of the pumpkin. That will stay there through-out Thanksgiving. The wreath will be changed out on Nov.1st for a simple fall wreath that will serve through Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving weekend, then the Christmas wreath goes up, and various other items inside & out. I haven't purchased anything new in years, as I am very well-pleased with what we already have. Always interesting to see what you do.

This year I kept my fall decorations up then added my Halloween decorations to them. I think I will keep up the fall decor after taking down Halloween decor, then change that out for Christmas decor at the end of November.

Great video as always Katie! The additional black accents look really good in your home. Not that you asked my opinion (LOL), but after seeing them I think you should consider incorporating more black into your everyday decor. I usually decorate for fall until the day after Thanksgiving. I do "Falloween" I feel like they compliment each other very well and my Halloween decor just looks so much better with the addition of fall colors. Then I remove Halloween and do Thanksgiving. We don't get a really fall where I live so I like to make it last as long as possible. I'm also a maximalist decorator so it's weeks of decorating. I'm keeping it up awhile lol

Fall is only 4 days old- I will have my Fall items out until Black Friday. Then it comes down and Christmas goes up. Even though it's still technically Fall. I will decorate outside for Halloween and add indoor Halloween to my Fall decor on my birthday which is October 1st. I bookend Halloween! I have done that for decades. My Christmas-- as most of my friends' and family's-- decor stays up until January 6th. That's always been important to my family. Then I play the minimalist challenge game- even though I am as opposite of a minimalist as can be. I do that every January purging lots of items.

I only decorate for Halloween if we have a party and then I only do it in our basement for the party. This year we aren't having a party so it's Fall until after Thanksgiving for me. If I'm honest Christmas is my least favorite holiday to decorate. It's only my husband and I so a lot of times I don't even put up a tree. He doesn't care about it and we really don't have a ton of guests in the month of December so it would only be for me really. I can't wait to watch you decorate for Christmas though!
