I would add the following: -Tow or recovery strap -Doyle Screwdrivers - I like the demolition 2 screwdriver set for the cost and functionality -The ICON SMALL bit ratchet set -Fuses - I think you said you're going to add them -Mylar Blankets OR Mylar Rain Poncho - in case it's cold, raining and/or injuries. These are less than $10 on Amazon. I know, not HF but important safety. -A tire inflator that runs off cig lighter -Tire pressure gauge -Jumper cables -Maybe rechargeable batter jump pack - but yeah you have to keep it charged -Battery operated head lamp - a flashlight is great but you also might want a head lamp -The 3/8 and 1/4 extendable ratchet - you seem to have the sockets already but the extendable ratchet may help -Foam Kneeling Pad - extremely helpful -Moving blanket - if you need to work in a messy location, this can protect your clothes and is inexpensive -Tape of some sort - both electrical and something to hold things like bumpers to your car like Gorilla or Duck Tape -Hand cleaner -Small pack of microfiber towels -Small bundle of paracord -Locking pliers That's all I can think of

Add jump pack, air compressor, Philips and standard screwdriver, duct tape, wire, wire connectors, wire crimp pliers, Open box end wrenches, knife or leather man type multi tool (quality one), small tarp and moving blanket (some Times it is wet or snow) small shovel, tow strap.. Not sure all can fit in the provided bag but can be creative and pack around spare etc. Personally I would forget dog bone and funny adjustable wrench and include a standard one. Great video hopefully will get some to think about options other than AAA.

A few weeks ago I grabbed 3 of the small Pittsburgh 12 volt 100 psi air compressors when they were on clearance for $29, plus 40% off of that price for ITC members. I think they were like $18 each at that point. I keep one in my Jeep at all times but I got 3 more, 1 for each of my stepsons to keep in their vehicles. I also grabbed them 3 of those tire plug kits that you guys showed in this video. I think these are invaluable and inexpensive purchases that’ll give them (and me) some piece of mind knowing if they get a flat they can hopefully take care of the situation.

I think I would've upgraded the tire plug kit to the Maddox at harbor freight not sure if I would trust that set. I would definetely add an air compressor because what good is a tire plug kit without air, I would add jumper cables, I believe harbor freight has a portable jump box if you wanted. I think the steel zip ties would be better than the plastic. I do like the idea of wire I should've had that in mine. Quinn makes a master 3/8 set that's nice. Maybe some box wrenches. Plastic trim tools, utility knife, multi screwdriver or least way to put the bits in a socket and used that way.

I have 1 on those Braun flashlights in every car. They fact that it is rechargeable is not a negative but a positive. They last a very long time on a charge, I would venture to say twice as long as you will get out of alkaline batteries. The magnet base and swivel head makes it perfect to work on cars. I love using them when doing brakes, just pop it inside wheel well and you're good to go.

Nice! I repurposed an old DeWalt T-Stak box for my Mustang’s emergency kit! I’d recommend adding some jumper cables, a pry bar, a socket extension, and one of HF’s many trim removal tool sets lol. Also just a heads up on the tire repair kit, I’ve heard mixed reviews on that one. Apparently the handle is very flimsy and can actually slip down the metal and pierce your hand 😮 The Maddox one is great tho. Keep up the great vids!

Good video. I like most of the stuff in your bag. :) Car/van: I always keep a HF expandable 1/2" ratchet (SKU: 59847 way better than that 4way thing) and a HF deep socket that fits my lug nuts. HF also now has a small lithium jump starter. Tire air pump. Scissors. Recovery Strap. Tire Plug kits. Truck/Suburban: Same as above PLUS the 1/2" breaker bar, ratchet straps, screwdriver set, pick set, wrench set, pliers set. First aid kit. Gloves. Winter time in the North: moving blanket, survival (silver foil) blanket. I'll likely buy the survival kit SKU: 59708. HF used to sell little boxes of windproof matches and I still have 'em. Folding utility shovel 'cuz snow sucks. Yeah, I'm crazy. I also used to carry a small HF trolley style floor jack before I got AAA. I like the duct tape idea in the comments. Red Green would carry a dozen of 'em.

Hahahaha I wasn't where I could watch the video yet and your thumbnail had me running to the app and the website to look at this. I will say I have been building mine over the last year and I use the Hercules10inTool Tote. I was so tickled you brought out the four way because I have had it in my car a couple of years and have used it to help a couple of people who did have something. Another thing I put in mine is the 22 piece Pittsburgh wrenches because they go on sale a lot and it has both Metric and SAE. A good jump pack is a life saver. I have the 1200 peak amp from Viking (the gray one, with out the air pump) but they do have one the glove box style that are pretty good. I have a Crown Vic so I wanted the more tried and true plus bigger, I do have a beast of a battery powered air compressor from Kobalt but the HF have many options for that as well.

Word of caution on that tire repair kit, those plastic handles on the reamer and the needle have been known to fail and it's not fun to stab yourself in the palm. Personally I found it worthwhile to spend a bit more and get a kit that comes with metal tools. They do offer a Maddox tire repair kit for about $22 that has metal tools so you can still stay all HF. As for additional stuff, they have a small tire inflator from Pittsburgh that isn't very expensive. It's not the fastest, but if you've got to plug a tire you're going to need to inflate it as well. Also, one of those viking jump packs. They have 1000 and 2000 amp depending on the engine size you need to jump. Personally I use a capacitor jump pack that never needs charging but HF doesn't sell one of those. And finally, if your car comes with one of those sketchy scissor jacks that were the cheapest thing the manufacturer could bundle in, you might think about a decent bottle jack as well as a wheel chock.

I believe in an emergency, exact precision is not needed. I have an Innova 3320 in my grab bag as a field mechanic. It works great for quick checks like you'd be doing in an emergency. I have a Fluke for when I'm chasing bigger issues. Cheap multimeters will getcha by though.
