Love your quote about New Harmony..."you just have to experience it!". That is so true. The feeling one receives has no words. True harmony of all one's senses. Thank you for sharing your video!

Another great video. Very pretty place. The Atheneum looks very cool too.

Looking at Richardmeier.com there are some amazing structures they’ve designed over the years. The Atheneum has a very modern look for being built in 1970.

Thanks Renae! I have been there three times, and it’s always got this serene, quiet feeling. I described it as walking through a dream, but younger people might describe it as walking through a video game! 😀

I did some work in the New Harmony area a couple years ago and we stayed at the only hotel we could find. I can't remember what it was called but it was a definite upgrade to the usual roadside places we frequented. It had trails and ponds, a pool house and a nice steak house nextdoor. Wish I could remember what it was called. I also remember the hotel had quite lovely staff on golf carts

New Harmony is such an unique town. It feels like it's in a different reality. The ghost / haunting stories from the area are quite interesting as well.

It’s a special place for sure! It has a serene, quiet quality, almost dome-like quiet, that feels peaceful the entire time you’re there. Hard to explain unless you go there! A few other people have also commented around the same lines. Have not heard any ghost stories, but I bet there are many

I have heard a lot of ghost stories as I’ve filmed mansions, and riverboat towns, along the Ohio River portion of Indiana. You don’t even have to ask, people just tell you in normal conversation. ☺️ It makes for some great memories along my travels

Most beautiful American town I have seen. Wonder what it's like in person.

Freakishly quiet. I thought it was just me, thinking it was like a big dome over the city, muffling sound. But after I published the video, others said the same thing. I don’t know if it’s because the buildings are so close, and made of sound dampening materials, but it is an unreal quiet. I loved it, thought it was very peaceful.

The birthplace of Socialism?

One of them. Oneida Community was another. It also didn’t succeed as a social experiment, but what did survive was Oneida plates and cookware, that’s now owned by a capitalist corporation. Irony! 🙂
