New Headunit for Astra H

Hi mate. I have a slightly different head unit than yours, it's only touch screen no buttons, however it's for an Opel Astra H GTC 2006. Some time ago, I decied to take it out and remove the microphone because it was in the way and I was not using it and I have only unplugged the mic cable from its socket. I have double-triple 10 times checked the connections and the camera won't work anymore. What happens is, I put it in reverse and if the camera wouldn't be connected it shows "no signal". Since I removed the mic and I put it in reverse, nothing really happens, the screen stays on the menu. I checked the camera cables and they are not fried, they receive 12V on both ends and the cable is in the unit and in the camera in the back. Have you got any thoughts on this? Thank you.

Hello, Do you find the radio stable? The reason I ask is that I bought a similar Chinese non branded android radio for my corsa D and it is constantly going into limp mode and switching itself off every couple of days. The only way to fix it is to unplug the radio and plug it back in again. Apparently the voltage regulation on the radio is very poor and can't cope with any minor flucations from the alternator. Just subscribed by the way.

Thank you for the subscription that's awesome 🙂 yeah I find it perfectly fine but then again it was like a £320 headunit. The only issue I have is I can't programme the steering controls the settings are there but it doesn't sort of registered the button presses

@@zedalon unplug the radio from the wiring harness and wait for 5 minutes. Then reassemble but make sure to make the connection to the original car wiring harnesses plug the last connection you make. This is very important. If you don't do it this way the can bus does not sync properly with the car wiring. Try this and it will work. No need to programme the steering steering controls, they will work straight away. This happened to me and I was able to fix it by doing the above. Try it and let me know.

It's not that they don't work it's just I'd like to be able to reprogram so they did different things like to be able to answer and end calls

Have you got the model no of this radio, could really do with one of these, great videos on the astra H love the hacks vid

It the eonon ga9155b you can get it in different colours and the model number changes accordingly but hopefully this should point you in the right direction.

The sound quality is much better than the original stock system.only wish I'd changed the speakers 😁
