I’ve been racking my brain on one of the capabilities of the camera but not sure which video it was I heard it on. There was the ability for the camera to only view reflected light and not direct lighting…. If I heard right PLEASE ease my brain…. How does this feature/ability work. I not in the field at all and don’t know optics very well but I’m very curious on how this is achieved.

Hi and thanks for the comments, actually we can read plates in the day time with no issues, in the night we use IR LED , and we set the exposure level to quite high, this negates the headlight effect and allows us to reflect and then read the plate detail using OCR

reset button if you hold it down and power camera up and then wait for 20secs and release it will factory default it, to do web reset under system tab select the option for factory default

Thank you so much for sharing these great videos with us!! I’m having problem with push notifications from the LPR blacklist or white list. I would love to have this feature up and running but for some reason it doesn’t work. I spent five days already with five or six different Hikvision Tech Support guys on the phone and every time I hear different suggestions since no one really knows why it shouldn’t work. The last Tech Support from Hikvision told me that currently push notification for LRP (White list and blacklist options) are not available yet. Not directly from the camera and not even through the NVR. And the only option he told me is email notification. Could you please confirm if this is true or perhaps if you know the process would you please share with us?

you can add to an I series NVR and this will record all plates across all cameras and allow search and export , and also you could use HIK-Central as the software interface if you wanted a nice interactive piece 😊

Nice demonstration. I have seen your car just going at low speed probably between 20-30km/hour at night. How about the result in IR at night when the car goes at 80-100km/hour, are the numbers plates readable in same camera at high speed. Need your useful advice on that.

Thank you , we can offer a solution but it varies on the installation type and parameters , it’s the CSR Radar device HIK make and the IDS-TCV product line , you will need to involve the local HIK team to put a solution together

Hi , the IDS-TCM is a higher performance model for traffic applications , its accuracy is higher , and the new 4MP is higher image quality over the 2MP 7 line, that said we get extremely good results just using the 7 line model and this is the go to product to start

se ven pocos vídeos mostrando la cámara en la oscuridad como emiten ese haz de luz roja (ir led) lo cual hace la cámara totalmente detectable y siendo fácil de inutilizar no entiendo porque no aplican leds IR de 940nm . Para mi las cámaras en cuestión fallan en que no dispone de IRled de 940nm por lo que e la oscuridad la cámara será bastante llamativa y accesible (emite una serie de luces rojas) pudiéndola destrozar o robar o inutilizarla. Las cámaras deberían llevar un sistema de IRleds que en la oscuridad no se iluminasen en el mercado ya hay modelos que utilizan leds de 940nm los cuales no emiten ningún tipo de luz en la oscuridad y por tanto hace que las cámaras pasen mejor desapercibidas, es importante que dispongan de WDR, IRCUT, P2P, codec H.265 o H.265+, conexión POE, wifi , aspectos como sensor PIR, PTZ, son cuestiones a valorar y que mejoran bastante la seguridad

gracias por los comentarios, este video y otros que he producido muestran el video por la noche y qué tan efectiva se vuelve esta unidad en su captura incluso con la luz intensa que se alimenta a la cámara, no estoy seguro de en qué país reside, pero el Reino Unido no tenemos el problema de que las cámaras se destruyan debido a los leds IR rojos, tenemos millones de cámaras de CCTV implementadas que serían más accesibles y, por lo tanto, destruidas por lo que está reclamando, y simplemente no, tal vez su región tenga un problema diferente, pero entonces usted necesitaría que todos los CCTV estándar sigan la misma regla, con ANPR generalmente también los ajustamos más arriba o en postes que los hacen más difíciles de acceder por naturaleza, ayudando nuevamente a resolver el problema que describió, también podemos obtener unidades con una longitud de onda de 940 nm si el proyecto lo exige, pero la distancia IR efectiva se reduce al usar esta longitud de onda, pero gracias por el comentario que apreciamos, el español no es mi lengua materna, así que disculpe si esto no está bien establecido.
