I'm unboxing the new HIMI gouache palette! I've used it to paint a beautiful nature scene. I was curious about these smaller containers. The increased number of colors has made HIMI even more user-friendly. I haven't made a gouache video in a long time. I think I've finally ended this longing with my new palette. Gouache is the basic painting material I feel closest to. I really enjoy painting with it. I have to say, I really love this new HIMI palette. I've shared my thoughts in the video. Again, most people don’t see this, but you probably moved the camera about a million times to get these beautiful shots :) Your art is beautiful like everyone has said it many times, but you are a world class videographer, rival most of the top ASMR videographers we’ve watched all over the world. :) I know it takes a lot of effort to make video this good, I don’t want that to go unmentioned.

I've seen the twin cups in a 36 and 48 set, and thought that was a great idea for people like me who have never used gouache to give it a try. The brushes they sent look like they worked with the paint very well. I can see myself trying the 36-colour set and adding a tube of white and ultramarine or gray for mixing.

I have bought a gouache set inspired by you and although I watch your videos most nights I have not tried it yet! It can be hard to find the time and energy with my disability but I know by now that I’m just putting it off lol. I remind myself that it’s about fun and to be as skilled as you are would be a bonus! But a person also can’t improve unless they try so hopefully I just go for it in the next couple of weeks haha

Sorry because this comment is so long. I'm a beginner painter who have been, for the past four months, trying to decide between watercolor or gouache. Started to watch gouache videos for the past three weeks. Watched videos of artists saying if you're a beginner don't use HIMI or cheap brands gouache. I couldn't understand it because being a beginner and not being sure about what direction to go, if to do watercolor or gouache, it was pretty frustrating because paint isn't cheap if you want to buy quality ones. Also I thought why would make the same mistake again of buying expensive paint, like i did with the watercolor, and then find out that I'm not sure if i like it or not anymore. It didn't make any sense to me watching those kind of videos to be honest. So, it was such a great relief when I found this video. Not only you said you have been using the HIMI gouache for a while, but the way your painting turned was unbelievable, even that is with the cheapest paint. The way you showed the paint, from the drawing part, choosing the colors, mixing them, showing how and where to put the shadows and lights, the textures, that you painted first the dark colors, which brushes to use and how to use them. Especially I loved the close up from the camera to show up when you did the details and techniques. It was really helpful because most artists skip it or don't show things completely. For the first time since these past four months I can say I truly enjoyed seeing a video 100% of it. Sincerely, I have learned more from this single video than from all the gouache videos I have watched for the past three weeks. Definitely I'll be subscribing Please, keep posting more gouache videos. It will be really helpful if you could do a beginner series about it. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us.

Thought id just mention the glued pages are to stop the pages curling up when you’re painting/while it’s wet if you cut them after your painting is dried it’ll still be nice and flat!

@@ouakiabdou1599 from what I found there is one in Marrakech If you head up Avenue Mohammed V heading away from the medina past Hotel la Renaissance (about a 20 minute walk from the Koutoubia mosque) and before you get to the Acima supermarket you will find on the left hand side of the road a bookshop/Library which has an excellent stock of art supplies (oil paints, paper, brushes etc).

Hi! I noticed you spritzed with water. I finally got a set and the instructions state, “use HIMI spray before closing lid to prevent mold. Have you ever used HIMI spray? I wonder if it’s just diluted bleach and water? Thanks.
