New Holland is fast going from a dependable, simpler machines favoured by contractors and stock farmers to something a lot more capable. Quite liking some of the original features they are bringing to market.

Excellent video! They sure are getting a lot of horsepower out of a small engine these days! Years past, a 400 horsepower tractor here had an NTC Cummins in it, good for at least 10,000 hours if maintained properly. No comparison in comfort of these new rigs! That 6.7 FPT unit is a proven workhorse. Lots in tractors and high clearance sprayers here in southern Manitoba Canada.

Impressive machine for sure. We always kept Ford utilities like a 900, or a 2000 for loader work and such, and Farmall M's, 706 Diesels and, 966 Diesels for field work. Ford/New Holland have come a long way from the 6000's.

Very nice machine, is there still a substantial hp gap between this and the smallest T8? Friend of mine was moaning about having to buy a T8 a few year's ago as there was nothing between it and the biggest T7, was something like a 70hp difference.
@LordMuck Жыл бұрын
It's closed the gap right up on a shorter, more nimble frame

Hang on Mucker. I used to pull a 3 metre Sumo Trio behind a New Holland TM155 on Warwickshire clay that they make cement from! WTF do we need all that HP for? They older I get, the more disillusioned and out of touch I get with all these manufacturers. They are fecking nuts!
@LordMuck Жыл бұрын
You didn't pull it as fast as that and we could have pulled twice the width (but it's all we had on the day !) I used to pull an 8m air drill behind 125hp and now they're doing the same with 250hp. That said, the T7's are capable and can replace 2 tractors with one so I suppose it's all about output.

I couldn't get my mind past the plastic fender flopping back and forth in the opening sequence. You can delete this Muck if you don't like it.
@LordMuck Жыл бұрын
When front fenders first came out in the mid 80's, the brackets would break up and crack the welds. Then the bolts would shear in the axles. then they tried suspended brackets and now the whole thing turns at a differing rate to the front wheels to allow tighter turning and the flex allows for high speeds on suspended front axles without fatigue from vibration.
