Are the cvt trans. in the new hollands more reliable than the cvt's in john deere? I know alot of farmers that are not happy with the green cvt's. I'm interested in the 66 series IH behind the T8. I spent many years in the seat of a 1466 black stripe. Thanks for the videos and stay safe. We need more Bree she is the star of the show.

What are the pros and cons of running tractors and Meyer boxes vs straight trucks? Expense of running, manuverability, speed, reliability, wear and maintenance, etc. Also do the drivers prefer one over the other, and what does the chopper driver think of either. We mostly run straight trucks in our area, with some trucks with live bottom trailers, and very few tractors and boxes, so just curious.

Is the number after the T signify the horsepower, such as the 410 ? I"m sure the electronic control tractors are far more comfortable to drive than the tractors pre-2000.

Ford bought New Holland, but sold both farm equipment lines to CaseIH, and became a part of CNH Global. The NH and CIH tractors share a lot of common features, but have some they don't share. The hay equipment is almost all still NH design and built, but only NH does the Choppers, and the combines use different designs, Twin Rotor vs Axial Flow. They also bought DMI, for the heavy tillage rippers and such. Hope I helped you!
