That's correct I've done it that way to. Just make sure and let your customer see you do it. However, I like having the scale there so I can see the rate in which the refrigerant is going in.

Really turned out fantastic what a beauty. If I did have to change one thing I would support the coil from beneath so you can get the door off in the future. But everything looked wow beautiful

I was going to but there was one of those old rigid electrical pipes in the way. But the way I strapped it allows for the front cover to be removed. I know because I've done it before. After you remove the screws it will slide up. But I agree that it would look better with a stand.

Excellent looking job! It’s very clear that you take pride in every aspect of your job, even programming the thermostat. Quick question though why do installers in California use that insulation with no backing on it to wrap those elbows and collars? I install on the East coast and we always use FRK duct wrap R-8. Also how do you get it to stick to the duct? Spray glue? Here it’s staples and FSK tape, sometimes I’ll even mastic the seam over the tape. I’ve just always wondered about why that type of insulation is used there. Again, that’s one of the neatest and cleanest installs I’ve ever seen! Loved the whole series!
@theairconditioningguy4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your great comment! Our weather is very mild and humidity is normally comfortable to dry. Rarely too humid. We use FSK on commercial work but as you can see I don't do commercial. And yes we glue it on with spray glue and some old timers also used 18 penny nails. They'll stick them in, in a zig zag motion grabbing two pieces of insulation. Not sure if I painted the right picture with those words. Hope that answers your questions. Let me know if it doesn't.

That definitely clears it up for me. Thank you for your response!

@theairconditioningguy4 жыл бұрын
I don't. Once there's not enough pressure I get a new one. I suppose you could put it in the sun to increase pressure. That might help get more out.

I'm new contractor just got my c-20 I love the way you install it reminds me of the way I was taught to install back in 2003 when we would put 3 screws on the wire on inner duct then pull insulation jackettape and put 3 more zip screws a lot of the new installers have no pride in their work we would always try to make our installs pretty now im a lead service tech but I install for my personal jobs tying to build my business wanted to ask you how long does it take you to do a cut in like this one on the video I know it take a bit more time the way you do your installs they look very clean
@theairconditioningguy3 жыл бұрын
Right now they take me about 5 to 7 days because I don't have much help but with help, two installers should be able to do it in 3 to 4 days.

Hi Juan, another one in the books! I started with Field Piece, but one day my truck got broken in to and all my tools was all gone. So I invested in to iManifold and started using iConnect. Now I wonder if I should go back to FP. But MQ works with the iConnect probes. ( Sort of) And I made a New Years resolution not to buy any more tools, because every time I go to the parts house, I’m like a kid in the candy store!

@@josbrun Ha ha ha! Same here. We're Tradesmen! That's why. I have the iManifolds and if it wasn't because one of the air temp sensors went bad I wouldn't have probably bought the fieldpiece yet. I did have my eyes on them because of the convenience. I hated having to use those wired SL & LL probes.

Great video. I'm new to this field. Learning a lot. Question that a condensating unit. Do you need a exhaust and intake flue pipe?

Depends on the model. Some do require it and others are optional. Direct vent requires two pipes and Non-direct do not. You'll have to check the installation instructions. Thank you for your watching my videos!
