Girrrrlllll we could be friends. I’m sitting at my desk with my notebook that has my plans and the many different ways I’ve scheduled everything. I also have homeschool planet open and I’m putting the things I know are staying put. I have start dates, specific days, order, I could go on and on. I love planning!

We’ve never tried a morning basket from masterbooks!!! I love the time we have together as a family!!! I like a plan but then i change it for our needs!!! We are required to do art!!! I’ve never knew that masterbooks have a art curriculum!!! God’s story looks awesome!!! We love d for dinosaurs!!! I bought it when we did a dinosaur unit study!!! I plan things out but then change my plans as we do it!!! We rarely get an ideal day as we are travelling but we love it so I plan it knowing that!!! We watch world watch news as a family!!! I have loads of note pages in my planner for homeschooling!!! I plan out independent work and then tell my older kids what I’ve planned out!!! I plan big picture!!! I make checklists for curriculums!!!

I did BSF back 2019-2020 and loved it. My kids were preschool age and it was so sweet. I havent been back since now that my oldest kids are elementary age but they have homeschool classes right where they cover the Bible lesson? Do you do school adter BSF on those days? Your video is getting my wheels turning 😂 I also plan like you do!

Yes! I think it will depend on the location, but ours does babies through high school. The elementary aged kids have their own lessons that follow what the adults are learning - it’s wonderful! This past year my kids got most of their independent work done BEFORE BSF, and we just did a little bit afterwards. This next year we are trying an evening class near us because it did make for a long day on Tuesdays! Thanks for watching!

I’m a planner! I’m a pen and paper girl. I do use Microsoft Excel to keep track of what we have done but my daily/weekly planner I use separate planner for my 3 kids.

Are you purchasing the prepackaged lab materials for Science in the Beginning or are you just collecting the supplies as you go? I bought this book to do this year and I’m deciding which way to go. I think the kits are at Rainbow Resource currently for $110.

I am a type A planner and I have already started planning out our upcoming year. We have decided to use MFW CTG for our homeschooling. However, I am new to Homeschool Planet and I am struggling to figure out how to put the MFW CTG curriculum into it. I’d love to see what you come up with!! I love your videos. You make it look easy. I've tried to record a few of my own and decided I am not that great at it. 😂

Ohh trust me, go watch some of my first videos and you’ll see I wasn’t that great either 😂. You learn as you go and just get a bit better every time!! Keep at it if you like doing it!! 🙌🏻 I did not like how I used Homeschool Planet with MFW this year. I will do a planning video later, BUT, what I’ve decided is that I’m going to make a “My Father’s World” CLASS, and then when I plan out the week, I’m going to decide which activities we’ll do each day and add them as activities to the class each day. Hope that makes sense 😂. We’ll see if I like that any better!! Thanks for watching and for the kind words, it means a lot!

Do you ever get overwhelmed with some much curriculum you have to do?

Do you mean lots of different curriculums to use in our homeschool? If so, having a plan really helps me keep it all organized so it’s not overwhelming 😊. That’s why I go through the trouble to plan/write all this out NOW, so I am not overwhelmed later, and use a great planner to help me stay organized. And I also have the mindset that there are some days when we simply won’t get through EVERYTHING I have planned…and that’s ok! We do what we can, and what we don’t get to (for whatever reason) I’ll reschedule it in Homeschool Planet (my online planner) with the click of a button. I’m getting much more comfortable with juggling all the pieces after 7 years of this 😂. When I started, I used ONE curriculum package and that was it!
