I loved my 650 revere, I had it in matte black with the 80’s as hell NTV design on the tank. I was trying to something similar with mine as far a scrambler build, when mine got stolen out the damn car park at work. Absolutely broke my heart

I'm not much into scramblers, but I can see a rather nice bar hopper hidden inside that bike. I think you are on the right track. If you want a 'zorst can on both sides, I reckon the neatest way to do it would be moving the entire header pipe of the front cylinder over on the left side, all the way from the front. A bit more work, but would add lot of individuality.

That was a consideration but the water pipe and gear lever and linkage are right in the way....still a consideration though.

That's alright, I guess scramblers mainly are for mounting the pavement when parking in front of trendy bars....😉

Well...The Virago is surely at the top of the fuglies. And yet, what a brilliant base bike it is today. If you can find one... I did think exactly as you, but along the video I started envisioning that I, if losing all those plastic panels, probably could make something resembling a scrambler out of that. Perhaps a scrambler/enduro-ish crossover. It's not an obvious base bike, but isn't that what customising is all about ? Taking any bike, and turn it into your vision ? Being a cruiser/bobber guy, the bobber project didn't win my heart. But if this was the Dragon's Den, the boys would get my backing on that scrambler 👍

@@thefreedomguyuk its more so the frame i hate, it hides the motor and square, it just spoils it, the plastics are irrelevant as i would think all thats being pulled off for a custom tank and seat i hope.

@@Thegeordiemonkey Been checking photos of frames. It's an unusual choice of bike, obviously. I'm not put off by that massive box rail, it's the identity of the bike. But there's a LOT of components to relocate from under the seat....and there's no obvious destination for it. A bit of a challenge. This project is about thinking out of the box. But I believe the boys can do it.
