Here's my theorie : In the 60s Blake thinks she's cheating on him, in the 70s they're having issues and he's the film director, they don't communicate at all, just looking at the band playing. In the 80s it just looks like he's having self-trust issues cause even if he's singing, another part of him (himself in the public) thinks she loves someone else. In the 90s this is just a basic fight, very clear and direct. He don't care about her. At the end (so nowadays) we don't know if she's cheating or he's just scared. No matter the era, they're always having issues.

It's happy to see all NHC fans always express different opinions rationally, i totally understand and agree with your point that it's normal to see Bailee and Blake have more screentime because they directed the story. But I think those who commented about Reece and George were not just want them to have more screentime. Since the three boys are A BAND, they might expected Reece and George's roles could highlight the story too. Like although Harry is the leading role in Harry Potter story, Hermione and Ron still bring many good parts in the story as supporting roles. PS: I still think the song and the video are great!
