Fears to Fathom was the series that I found you channel recently on. Was excited for a new game similar to it but this one was a huge miss for me. Overplayed fart/piss jokes, bad dialogue, bad voice acting when there was voices, not clear direction at times on what to do next and biggest thing for me was basing it off a true serial killer name, face and all. Didn’t sit right with me

With all the fart jokes and bathroom jokes, it honestly felt like the story was written by someone with the mentality of a teenager or teenage boy. Sure fart jokes are funny here and there but this game carried it on too long. It was like beating a dead horse. I also don't like that Meg ended up with Lenny in the end. That guy is a walking red flag. In real life, women wouldn't date a guy who doesn't take no for answer. It means he doesn't respect consent. In fact, I wouldn't even be friends with a guy who kept hitting on me despite me telling him I'm not interested and I'm quite sure that this would be true for most women (I say most because there are those more susceptible to being manipulated than others). I honestly thought that Lenny would be the serial killer (before we met Joseph of course) because of how pushy he was and how convenient and easy it would be for him to kidnap her, especially with how willing she was to be travelling with him in the beginning. How could they make this game better? 1. Cut out all of the fart and bathroom jokes. They're not funny. 2. Cut out most of the parts where the player has to go to the bathroom and manually make the character relieve themselves or shower. I know playing a game (whether it's horror or another genre) that has some realistic life features is kinda cool but no one cares about bathroom urges in games. There's just no point unless it's used strategically in the story for something. One instance I can think of where I would leave a bathroom scene in is the one at the diner where Joseph stood in front of the bathroom stall Meg was in. I would leave that in but take out the poop noise and manually making her relieve herself. Turn it into a cutscene and add in dialogue that is either text the player can read or voice acted dialogue of her reacting to seeing that someone was standing in front of her stall. 3. The scene at the bus stop can still be used but I felt it took too long. Cut the duration of that part and just make it so she encounters that creepy man sooner and add in some dialogue options to interact with or make it a cutscene. 4. The motorhome. I don't really see much point of it being there if they end up staying in a motel anyway. I feel that the motorhome should be replaced with a regular vehicle and keep the motel scenes because it adds to the creepiness of the game with the motel owners son. 5. The dialogue in the motorhome while they're travelling was pretty dull with all the bathroom and fart jokes. It could be changed to conversations that reveal information about the background of either or both characters. This could be dialogue options the player can choose to make it more interesting. 6. If Lenny must be the creep that he is, please don't make the ending be with Meg and Lenny dating. Like Insym said, it sends a bad message. If the devs want Meg and Lenny to be a couple in the end, I recommend not making Lenny be a creep. It's fine if he's a cringey cheesy dork lol just don't make him a creepy walking red flag that no woman in her right mind would ever date. It's just not a good ending period. It feels awful. And yes, it could make some people who play this game think that the way Lenny talks to Meg and ignores her saying no is acceptable behaviour when it is not! It's great that Lenny is trying to look out for her, like driving her to her moms house, offering to wait at the bus stop with her, offering to stay in her motel room after that guy broke in BUT with him being so pushy towards her about dating, it ruins those moments because it just feels like he's only doing those things or offering those things to get her to date him. That's not being a good friend. 7. Fix the spelling/translation errors to clean up the game and fix some of the animation glitches, like when Lenny drinks his energy drink it shows that he's drinking it from his ear. 8. I think it's weird that in 2017, Meg, being a lawyer and all, doesn't have a cell phone. It doesn't make sense considering it must be essential now for a lawyer to have a cell phone these days. 2017 wasn't that long ago. It's pretty uncommon for anyone to not have a cell phone by then, even boomers. Not all of them have one but many do because of the influence of their families. So I would change it to Meg owning a cell phone. If the devs don't want her to have access to a cell phone to make it seem scarier or more challenging, they could make it so that her phone gets lost, damaged or left behind at home accidentally. 9. Cut out long periods of time where the player has to do nothing but wait. Like near the end of the game where Meg has to wait for the police to arrive, instead of making them wait five minutes, have the player have sequences where they're running away from Joseph or the other guy or just cut the wait time so that it's mostly just Meg and the guy with the "broken down car" and Joseph with shorter times of the player hiding. Have Joseph look scared when he sees the police lights and hears the sirens and have him try to run away. When meg walks outside, they could show that the police have him pinned to the ground. OR the Police could enter the house and subdue Joseph in the house and call out for Meg while she's hiding.

I think the only way to not seem scary when walking behind someone is talk on the phone, even if it's a fake call. You'll let the other person know you're there and that you're not focused on them. Might be a bit awkward, but it must be better than being mistaken as a killer or worse.

Honestly, it probably would’ve been better if they just straight up mocked Fears To Fathom, instead of half-assing the seriousness and making poop jokes like a million times as a way to constantly remind us that it’s not an entirely serious game. They tried to somehow tone down their usual craziness and presented this game as a more serious one, only to end up coming across as a discount FTF that doesn’t even know what it wants to be. FTF had some genuine funny moments despite not trying to be funny, while this just feels like a tryhard. I hope the next episode would just be them going totally bonkers (but with less poop jokes) because parodying/mocking existing horror media is where they shine.

LOL 8:20 first off, I live in New York. Secondly, I don't live in the City (Manhattan) nor Upstate where it's a little more jolly, I live in the boroughs and I use to live in the hood. In the 1990's my mother was robbed twice, she fought back, at 14 I was robbed once for my Gameboy with a friend of mine. The guys who did it were 3 guys 20+ years old, much bigger than us at the time and cops got the Gameboys back for us. I have also almost been jumped a few times as a kid and been in a fair amount of fights, mostly not my fault at all. Lastly, I ride Scooters and E-bikes, currently it gets dark here at 4:45 Pm since it's going towards Winter plus Day lights savings. My scooters and Bike have bells and a front light. To not scare people I just slow down and let them see the light at night. A lot of people exaggerate their movements regardless of how slow you're moving some act like you were about to run them over. So I assume everyone is dumb like I'm driving a car and I REALLY watch them. Some folks walk left and right down the street for no reason, some folks do weird moves or stops. If I can avoid people at all, I do so. As far as NY street being that empty, yes it is, at late night or early morning and in certain areas. Also, past 11:30pm, Buses don't run anymore only trains or you better get a cab or Yellow/Green taxi or Uber/Lyft etc. As a teen, I was allowed out past midnight long as I told my mother where I was so I was often out in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, rarely but sometimes in the Bronx at age 16-19 and the streets were either empty or mostly.
