It's been a long time since I've watched a horror movie and suddenly wanted to see if there is a good one coming... but for some reason, watching these trailers, I got the feeling that it is the same movies from 5-10 years ago but with different demons, faces etc. only the "scary" moments are the same - either a really loud sound or women screaming lol. The jumpscares, usually a monster face with loud sound, are not scary. It's human's natural reaction to flinch when that happens. You can literally clap in front of somebody's face when they are not expecting it and get the same reaction.

They're afraid of taking risks so they just run the formula with new and improved technology, but even then it's not much better, look at Insidious for example, that holds up to today, it's just a more diverse cast and it's all so uninspiring. Amazing these movies receive any funding at all. I guess a profit is a profit. Fucking garbage though.

Back in the day you could get great horror movies that had a very good story to them that were phsychologicaly and vsualy scary that didnt need alot of cheap jumpscares. Cut to present day horror movies that now rely on weak stories full of jumpscare after jumpscare with cheap loud sound effects just to make a bit scarier >.>

We need more Mike Flanagan like stories from The Haunting of Hill House, and Midnight Mass. His stories builds, his horror is slow and climbs to a final thrilling reveal that leaves you you just shocked and speechless. Monetization of movie trailers should not be allowed. Is it even legal for some group to make money showing movie trailers? Pretty much every other trailer was interrupted by an ad. So, essentially, while watching advertisements for movies, I had to be interrupted every five or six minutes by an ad for something else. It's pretty sad when you can't even willingly watch ads without MORE ads being inserted. Pathetic even. KZbin has gone way down hill.

I get the whole concept of not wanting kids and being pressured by people who have them but it doesnt happen as absurdly as that. Clock looks as ridiculous as some of the anti-drug PSAs from the 80s however. It also looks like it'll only really appeal to the anti-family movement that's gaining so much momentum as a "current thing".
