I love this foundation too. I have dry skin, and it ends up with the perfect natural/satiny finish if I use it with a hydrating primer. I too thought it was going to be too orangey on me, but after it oxidized it neutralized and turned out to be a good summer shade for me too! It lasts all day on me too, and has such a pretty blurring effect! It just makes my whole makeup look look more on point. 👌I use the Real Techniques expert face brush, and it works with the foundation pretty well.

I bought this foundation $74 Canadian 😳. Works very well on my oily skin, did not buy the brush and I applied with a beauty blender. So far so good 👍🏼.

@@lisamichele6738 oh man that sucks!! It’s crazy how differently products work on each person. Another thing you can try if you haven’t already is from a brand called Carpe. They make a sweat proof face lotion. It helps with oily skin as well. I’ve seen it all over IG and am shocked with how well it works.

I bought it and first applied it with a damp sponge and liked it. Then tried to apply it with a brush (it cosmetics), then another brush (real techniques), then another brush (rare beauty, followed with a damp sponge..also tried my fingers... hated both methods. It looked super heavy. Went back to applying with a sponge and liked it for the next 2 days, but then it seems like after that, it kept looking worse and worse...🤷‍♀️ If I had to guess, I would say that this is due to this foundation not being hydrating enough and drying out my skin more and more as I kept using it... I had to return it, it is just not the most dry skin friendly (for me), even if I applied very little of it. I will stick with my MUFE Reboot, which makes my skin look super healthy and perfected! Thank you for the review Mallory! You look amazing, as always! 😍 Btw, will you be reviewing the improved Merit stuck foundation? I just ordered it and never used the old version, so looking forward to trying it! 😘❤️

OH DANGGG!! Not a good experience at all! I've had foundations perform for me like that, and it is super dissapointing. The latest CT Beautiful Skin Foundation did that on me😢

Packaging is EVERYTHING! Especially when you’re paying that much, the mark up on high end makeup is insane so the least they can to is get creative and give us luxe packaging! And I completely agree on the pump as well. One of my fave foundations, the Givenchy Prism Libre Glow has the WORST pump, it pops off and it’s super cheap plastic plus the packaging could use an upgrade too! So you’re not alone 😂😅

I've given up on foundation since the pandemic, I put concealer wherever I need it and find the shade selections are better. Concealers tend to run lighter in shade selections because they are meant to brighten and I am fair so that helps me out a lot choosing a colour. Whats on your lips here? they look so hydrated and pretty!

Have you tried Merit’s The Minimalist? I recently started using it again since they repacked everything, and put more product in the tube, and WOW it’s incredible. Thank you❤️✨ It was Em Cosmetics Velvet Lip Blur in Foxy plus their Lip Cushion in Mona Lisa!

I think it’s probably fair to call my skin dry - combo. It tends to lean dryer but can go more combination in the spring and summer. I can get away with a bit more. As a general rule matte foundations are a no for me, year round, but there are a rare few demi matte - soft matte and natural foundations that I can pull off if they work/change with my skincare routine. I’m curious about this foundation. Not sure how it would work but I I generally do well with this brand. I’m the opposite when it comes to powders. Laura Mercier setting and finishing powders make me look dryer. Love the blush, eyeshadow sticks and tinted moisturizers though.

I've seen someone use a sponge on half the face and it gives a light medium coverage more then a true medium. I think you'd like it better with a sponge. That brush probably stretched it further which who can really complain about that... idk.. I really wanna try it ❤❤❤

looks good & holds up great! don’t think the shade looks like a good match but granted i’m not seeing irl and my settings could affect that. i doubt i’ll try it, i’m just over foundation these days. i’m having issues with them not working well with a couple of my sunscreens (gotta love sensitive, maturing skin!) so i’m going without and trying to be confident with less base makeup.
