I am 38 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

I'm tan and enjoy the diffused light shade as a finishing powder... It's sheer and brightening especially nice under the eyes. The blush looks so nice in this palette. I hope they come out with more options.

I really like the tone in the blush, very flattering, plus I think I would like the highlighter as does seem smoother in comparison to others. Thankyou for always doing great demos and comparison swatches. Always so incredibly helpful

This trio would work good for me, I think. I'd use that highlighter as an inner corner highlight on my eyes too! The blush is gorgeous! I'm fair-light, neutral-cool and I like blush so...

Wow I am very fair and think this would really suit me. I might pick it up if I can find it on sale. It’s hard for me to find highlighters light enough. The one in Elephant is too deep for me. I love the classic rose tone of the blush. Thanks for all the comparisons

@@Marina-vd The other shades work well but the highlighter is too dark for my face. I use it on my eyes. I like the lighter version of the palette from the previous year better. I think it’s called Universe. It has five pans and a marbled packaging. All of those shades work well on my fair skin.

I’m light leaning fair light. I love their extremely pigmented blushes because I tap my brush in the ambient light powder and then in the blush and it gives the most perfect level of pigment. I find it’s easy to dilute.

Just got this rose edit today and had fun applying it while listening to your review! It really is so very lovely. Hourglass is simply BEAUTIFUL. You look fantastic. Thanks for showing your different palettes! The unlocked one has caught my eye but I think its sold out online. I have the radiant bronze light single and its gorgeous. I think it would be really nice on your skin too!

I agree 100% in inclusivity, but there are brands out there that focus nearly exclusively on dark skin tones, and others on asian skin tones, and I just don’t see them getting the same negative mention as hourglass, and I don’t understand why? Inclusive is inclusive. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have the elephant palette, while I love it, I don’t care for the highlighter in it, and I’m a light-med, to medium skintone. I think hourglass makes the best powder products. I agree with what you said here, we need different colors. But, boy, this looks beautiful on you.

I hope someone can compare it to Sublime Flush because it does look alike, at least on camera!! I don't have many palette from HG but many single blushes but this palette seems suited for my skin tone!! Beautiful!!

Loved this - I've decluttered my 2 Hourglass palettes because they hard panned on me, and have been mulling over getting Volume 1, but that one isn't perfect for my needs. This palette happens to really hit what I'm needing right now. I look forward to when it comes to the market - it's crazy that it's on the Selfridges site already but not on the Hourglass site!

I was a bit naughty when the 30% Hourglass event happened as I bought two more 6 pan ambient palettes and got the free lippy in that gorgeous component and small primer. I got the tiger to go with my butterfly and the gold one.

Hi dear Charlotte the palette looks gorgeous on you🤩🤩🤩🤩, that is what i want to say first, and the palette is beautiful! But i really want Hourglass to finish the homework we gave them. They are learning so slow, Charlotte. 🙃Instead of this repetition stuff, where is Ambient LIghting trio volume 4? For rich complexions? When they came with their Christmas palettes, and they are soooo beautiful, i have the Elephant, love it, and the Tiger is more eyeshadow with my lighter complexion, but beautiful! The Butterfly, of course there are people who love it, i did not want a repetition of all these lighter shades, while i use DImlight the most, and further blush. I have their blush, a cute very little single, and a few in these trio stuff and palettes. Charlotte, after they finally made a good move, i purchased the Ghost palette, which is in winter perfect for my complexion, as i was to mad when it launched. And, indeed, what you say, i see only 1 new palette, so the people with gorgeous deeper skintones, what about them? They have gorgeous powders, and sh*t they know it. But there is also Cle de Peau with the illuminating wonderful highlighter products. Expensive, yes, but that is Hourglass also. And what Japanese brands add, when having dry skin, is moisture, also their loose setting powders. The Suqqu cheek products, wow.........even i like cheek products than! Chantecaille also ok, but i heard in a video from Angela van Rose that Earth project sort of products, so for nature/animals, the small percentage only goes to the animals/nature when buying from the American website, she did research about it and i was shocked. In this business, i cannot be else that these companies make so much money from all of us. Loved the video, and thanks for all the swatches, but of course i'm not going to purchase this. I've already got the ambient lighting powder, I'm not using highlighter very much at all, and I feel, if I mix the blushers from the Tiger and Elephant palettes, I'll dupe the rose blush!!! Charlotte, Are you wearing both the mega and micro Mac stacks mascaras? I have been using your lash serum (seriously thank you for that recommendation it is amazing) and my lashes are pretty long and full now so I was worried the mega stack might be a bit much but I love your lashes in this video (and pretty much every other one hence the lash serum purchase 😂). Edit: As soon as this palette is available on their website 😡, I am picking it up! I am fair so that highlight looks perfect for me as I like a more subtle glow and that blush is gorgeous! Plus it never hurts to have another finishing powder 😂!

Is this a new formula? They’ve had several of these 3 pan palettes available at Ulta and and Nordstrom in the US. I bought the one with the Ethereal powder that’s essentially white and a rose blush plush a very pretty strobe highlighter. I also have the last 2 years holiday palettes and a full size dim light powder. I now don’t need another hourglass palette for years and years. Decades really

I feel that Hourglass targets their makeup for light skin tones mostly. How many times have people voiced their concern and desire for palettes for darker skin tones? And they "try" but I feel their products are not that deep?

Most brands cater to a demographic. There is nothing wrong with it. Juvia's Place is well known for not catering to fair skin tones and having way too pigmented formulas for fair skin. But no one says a word, and that's how I think it should be. Brands cater to who buys products. I think we take it too personal.

I like watching your videos because I think you provide a lot of good information. However, I'm always hesitant to trust your swatches because of the poor lighting. Your background, oddly, is bright and illuminated - but you aren't. There's almost like a "warm" shadow over you that makes it difficult to see and trust how the product appears.
