I think a huge photo print wallpaper on the living room wall would be beautiful. Maybe a picture of the landscape outside, so that you can enjoy it inside as well! And because everything else is white and the room is so big and open, I don't think it would be too much. For a kid that could be so exiting to feel like living in a forest! 😄🌲🍂🌿🍁

I love how removing that area in the kitchen just opened up the entire space! It looks wonderful! As for the judgement on your paint color from a follower, it’s your home and you do what makes you happy. It gives it a fresh/ bright look and allows for a clean slate for when you are ready to add color or if you decide you are happy as is. I personally think it looks wonderful and has brightened the space incredibly. I love how happy Hailey (I am sorry if I spelled her name incorrectly) was when she came home and saw her room all set up!💖 I am looking forward to following your journey in this new home. No you do what feels comfortable and is the personality for you and your family. I am so happy for you and the family! Our move day is Monday and while we aren’t moving into a brand new home? We are moving into a new to us space and will be adjusting to a new environment and season for our family. Thankful that we can be with my Daddy and honor my promise to my Mama. That is really helping through this stressful process. I agree you don’t feel like you’re able to relax when you’re moving out and moving in. Nice to know I am not the only mom/wife in transition.

I love your videos no matter what the length! I would watch them everyday if you put them up! I just got a breast cancer diagnosis and am enjoying the distraction. I’m not a white paint fan, BUT, it is fresh and clean and gives you a clean slate. It’s definitely better than what was there. No one could ever think you are boring!! We bought a house when my kids were only a little older than yours that needed many updates. It was great fun! My husband swears he painted every square inch of that house at least twice and some of it three times. Enjoy the transformation!

I just painted my entire house Swiss coffee, which is white. Walls, ceiling and trim all the same shade , different sheens. I love it and add color with decor. 🤍

I prefer white walls too. I'm painting all of our walls a nice, crisp white. The previous owners had a creamy shade that looks dull and dirty to me. I add color to my rooms with the accessories (drapes, decor, bedding, etc).

100% agree with waiting for furniture and decor for a house! I read the book cosy Minimalist home before we moved and I am so glad I did because it gave me the ideas and strength to wait some things out with our new house and really make it our own by giving things time. I definitely would of made some mistakes or chosen things differently if did it all right away ☺️🙌❤️

Junk mail tip:. I have a double hook SUPER stuck on the back of our black mailbox... onto which is hung a dollar tree black wire 🗑️ basket. Every time we get mail, I sort all junk mail into that 🗑️ basket. On trash day, my husband gathers junk mail and tosses it in the barrel for pickup. It's NEVER even allowed into the house.

We are waiting for our keys to our (probably) forever home now. First time we actually own our living space and first time we will have a garden (in Germany it is quite normal to rent and buy late if you buy a house at all). Legal stuff is done and we are in a waiting mode. It is difficult because I know we will need new furniture because some of the old things actually fall apart, the kids will need "big beds" now and we already had to order some of it because the delivery time is 6-8 weeks... Your videos really help me to wait and instead of buying the new things we WILL need (just not before moving) I concentrate on decluttering and finishing some sewing projects, gifts etc. so that I have to pack less.

So fun to watch your excitement! We have lived in our forever dream home for the past twenty one years. We just redid our kitchen cabinets and the floors with LVT. What a mess that’s was this summer. We are enjoying a rainy week here in SW Missouri but I’m thankful to be home with my last two kiddos who are both high school age homeschooling. I’m very grateful to be home on this rainy fall day enjoying the simple life while also caring for my 2nd daughters 4 month old baby girl. God is good!

I was wondering since you said you wanted an open sight line/floor plan situation between the kitchen, living room, and dining room and you have more kitchen cabinets than you may need…maybe it would be possible to remove a small amount of the cabinets and scoot the fridge closer to the stove area and take out the little wall extension part above and to the right of the fridge? I have no idea how complicated/expensive that sort of thing would be, if there are safety reasons not to, or maybe personal preference to leave as is. Just thought I’d throw it out there since it crossed my mind while listening to you and watching. Praying your new home brings many years of happiness to you and your family 😊

My favorite length of vlog is around 8 minutes. That doesn't feel overwhelming to me and I am more likely to watch it quickly. The white is gorgeous! I love bright paint colors. Our personal preference is a super pale warm gray.

An interior decorator once said you should paint everything white when you move in and live there for at least 3 years and THEN decide what color change if any that you decide. This helped me tremendously when we moved into our forever home which we also did some renovations to like you. White is perfect!

I started watching your video from the moment my eyes opened in bed 😆 you have a great outlook on life and it’s wonderful. I can’t wait to see what your beautiful home will look like once it’s completely renovated. It will take time and that’s ok. I will be watching every moment. Their doing PACE's!!! I haven't seen those in forever. I went to 2 different private schools that used that. I loved those as a kid. Helped with Bible verse memorization and you get little comic stripes on a few pages.

That lil area where u had to bend down to see through was probally the phone area and phone book was in that drawer and mail etc.once upon a time the phone was on the wall or a table hehe..I just bought a paint sprayer to do our screened in porch and some of our bedrooms.I may regret that lol..we shall see..lol..u r right about “a white” paint.I had 6 whites lined up trying to pick the right one..I went with Alabaster..and Pure white on the trim..still watching your video so can’t wait to see what u picked..I also liked ‘cotton” color also.it’s hard to pick white!!..it looks soo good and open..I love it!!
