Sure, some things still need a home, but you'll get there. I love your backyard for the children to safely play. And most of all, you have beds! :) That's so important to instill a sense of belonging for the children and for you and Josh to feel at home. I'm really so happy for all of you.

Let the kids wear sandles or flip flops around the house and the garden, so they dont' get dirt all over their beds. Also, whenever i have used a wet room, i find it more hygienic to have flip flops/sandles on because of the toilet and accidents.

Josh helps me with content, the children, the CEDA children, CEDA Pups & he is the one trying to get everything together for the adoption - he spends a LOT of time in offices chasing things… if he ‘worked’ a traditional job we would NOT be able to achieve what we need to. Never mind the fact that a wage is so little here, it’s much better him doing what he does now to allow me to put more time into content creation/tutoring etc - we simply could not do what we do, without him around! 😊

Disagree, there’s not exactly loads of better options - more money would mean a bigger place in this village but that’s about it. We’ve lived in many houses, all with issues - and all were considerably more expensive houses than the majority around!

I think the previous house was much better. Those bathrooms are an accident waiting to happen....and the damp in the bedroom isn't healthy. It would have been much better having one family bathroom with enough room for the loo etc...or just a loo and a bathroom. I hate toilets that are always wet from bath water....and that is a huge problem with many houses in Uganda...I just don't understand why they always get the bathrooms wrong.. .. just got the damp and the bad bathrooms... Continue looking for a better house
@TheLarters14 сағат бұрын
All the bathrooms we've had have been wet rooms - the last house too! We like this house - it's the most comfortable we've ever been in a house. It works out well for our family. The damp isn't great... last house had damp too

Bathrooms being wet or dry rooms is cultural. I think it's very hard to avoid a wet bathroom if you are staying in a country where this is part of the culture. But it's also not that bad really

Your dogs will keep ruining things because they’re frustrated. So many dogs in an enclosed area and never getting proper exercise get frustrated. It’s a form of animal abuse
@TheLarters5 сағат бұрын
Actually, I’m pretty sure it’s because the dog that did it came straight from the streets and has not lived in a home. The other was a puppy who joined in. My personal dogs haven’t ruined anything.
