I don't know if this is a "cultural" thing or regional, but every single Christmas tree I remember being put up in my home when I was a little wee one, and seeing in my relatives' houses during Christmas visits, all the way until I grew up and moved out at 17 after graduating high school, were either centered and elevated in front of a window facing the front of the house (in the "front" room a/k/a living room or today's great room/family room) or centered on a row of windows that the front room in whatever space we were rented often featured. The tree was decorated so that all sides could be seen and appreciated, from both the outside and inside the house! To this day (I'm 70), I STILL place my Christmas tree in the front window and decorate it 360 degrees full around. Thank you for the decorating tips, I almost always take away something from every video I watch that I can use to try to make my Christmas better.

All of your trees are gorgeous! I love the silver retro looking tree...reminds me of one we had when I was a little girl. Now I'm really telling my age! I actually put a small tree in my grandmother's old pickle crock. It's big and putting a small box inside the crock elevated the tree to the exact outside edge of the crock. I'm so happy with it and my granny would be too. I saw that idea in the December issue of Country Living and decided to try it. Thank you for the tips on adding ribbon too. I needed this and I agree about ball ornaments. I'm a Shiny Brite girl so you can never have too many! I've ended up with four trees this year and have enough stuff to do more but I stopped...I'm tired!

My favorite is the snowman hat/candy stripe tree! My only additional tips are-light the trunk with a string of white lights wrapped around, on shimmer or slow twinkle mode, adds so much depth, and put a lot of those basic ball ornaments deep into the tree to draw the eye in, cover bare spots near the trunk and add depth and shimmer.

Your ribbon designs are stunning and I plan to try as many of them as possible. I wanted to ask if you purchase your ornaments from a particular supplier\store as most of them are quite unique such as the red and white ornaments that look like circular candy cane mints along with several others I've noticed. Hi Erin! Thank you so much! I haven't make a video specifically for ornaments, but a lot of my ornament collection has been given to me by my grandmother over the years. Other than that, I shop at hobby lobby, Kirklands, Walmart, Wayfair, and target for my ornaments. ❤️🎄

Can you share how to hang garland? I have a 12 foot long mantle with a brick surround floor to ceiling. I like to hang garland under it but it's always a challenge and it never stays so I end up having to rehang it throughout the season. Any new ideas would be appreciated. Thank you! @@BrittneyBlane thank you! I tried command adhesives but they keep falling off. I'm trying to put it directly underneath the mantle and my village on top and they don't like to stick to the brick. I have to admit, I may have duck taped it to the underside 😜 but it doesn't like the heat. Can't wait to see more videos! Merry Christmas 🎄

Hi! I love that you have a multicolor pre-lit tree. I think they are so beautiful. I want to get one next year! I think you can use anything that you want. So many things go beautifully on a tree with multicolor lights. If you aren't sure were to start, I would start with a solid red and white, and maybe add other complementary colors from there. You don't have to match the lights. ❤
