I have been watching you for a long time. I have wrapped 3 GMC Yukon XL all Vvivid wraps. Mine is Gloss Metalic Sparkle Black. Looks great. I wish i knew i could use wet technique. I have done a lot of window tint being i live in Fort Lauderdale and wet applying makes it so much easier. Doing the wrap wet would have saved me so much frustration. Next vehicle i will be doing wet

I never did a wrap in my life, but I heard someone saying that applying Gloss Clear PPF on top of the CF Wrap gives a almost real look to it, my 2 cents

Great job !!! You are the best, what brand of ppf are you using ??

Is any post heating required with this film?

Nice. Best of both worlds. What are you referring to when you said “You wouldn’t recommend trying this with regular material with a larger air release pattern”? PPF is a wet install and vinyl has air release. I’m confused😅. Also are you saying this is easier - or harder to install thus you might charge more than PPF? Thx!!! 🙏🏼👊🏼🤙🏼
@CKWraps2 ай бұрын
This has both options available. Meaning you can install it wet or dry. It's harder in a different way because this a film that has an air release pattern, which can be installed wet or dry, but is also a TPU.

@@CKWraps Yeah as a DIY alone it’s way easier for me to wet install vinyl. So I’m wondering why even do it the hard way - unless you’re a pro 😅

Yo!! This is awesome thank you. Do you have mix ratio/ shampoo you prefer that does not cause hell with the PPF? On the big sheets needed for my truck I think this wet and dry method is going to help a ton. This colorfusion is pretty damn sticky on contact and loves sticking to itself because it is so limp. Any slipping will help a ton. What is the story with the Vvivid tack reducer?

Man!!!! I've watched countless hours of your "tail light wrap" videos and I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong with wrapping my 08 Grand Marquis tail lights! I keep getting "fingers" no matter which way I try wrapping them (left to right, right to left, top to bottom, bottom to top, etc...) I wrapped the headlights and corners, no problem!!! Please give me some advice or tips 😢

You have rounded lights on the outer side, and you have a sharp corner on the bottom inner sides touching the trunk n bumper. Tack your tint on the top opposite side of the sharp corner. Pull across and down towards the sharp corner. You will get wrinkles across so you just pull those out towards the other corners. When you glass those lines out, press the flatter areas first and heat a bit to relax the film towards the edges. Just don't over stretch.

@@Eddie89 1st. Thanks so much for getting back to me. Greatly appreciated! 2nd. So basically....wrap in an X pattern? Never crossed my mind 🤦🏻♂️. Thank you again!
@Eddie892 ай бұрын
@@norfolkdude0971 kind of, but start from across the corner. And emphasis on relaxing the other two corners (rounded edges but corners if you think of them as a square)

every industry has hacks and professionals. just like that guy who says he will lay a 4 coat candy for $2000 there are tons of vinyl and ppf guys who sling garbage. any installer who knows whats up will slap a chunk of film on their leg and cut it in front of you without cutting through. everything has its place! if you sell this car and someone hates the gray they peel it off. you go tri coat flip you cant go back!
