Changing the hydraulic oil in our John Deere 8330. For years we have used John Deere Hy-Gard. Now we are using Oil-All Xtreme by Certified. Keefe and Trevor finish our last field of cotton.

You would think that John Deere would come up with a better way to pick cotton that would get more of the cotton off of the stalk.

There’s not much Deere can do to come up with to get more cotton off the stalk. It’s all in the defoliation and weather conditions (cotton that’s been rained on several times after defoliation isn’t going to pick as good as cotton that hasn’t been rained on.) Also, cool weather before the end of the cotton’s maturity will cause hard lock bolls.
