I love the old style!!! In tradition there is beauty and the presence of God. Everything modern is so UGLY and BLAND. All those churches they built in the 60s and 70s, my gosh they don't even look like churches. No way to feel the presence of God. I'm 27 years old and you got to wonder what the heck people were THINKING back then? I PRAY that this is the start of a trend...

New himn, old design. So many churches without people, so many money on a new building! Where is the spirit of the Holy Father?

The Holy Father himself blessed the cornerstone for Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral, and his nuncio (ambassador) will be attending the dedication. The Catholic population in this part of the country is growing quickly and we have no Cathedral in which to celebrate Chrism mass, ordination, or other large masses for the diocese. The church which has been serving as our Cathedral cannot even accommodate all the Catholics who are parishioners, much less Catholics from around the diocese. We are saying mass in hotel ballrooms and school basements. This cathedral is no extravagance, but desperately needed and evidence of a thriving church!
