Vizag ka avg for 2023 (15.5) is still less than Raipur's 2022 avg (17.73 lpa). Raipur 2023 mein aur zyada hojayega. There IS a reasonable difference if not a humongous one.

I am going to give my 12th exams this month. I want to do MBA post graduation but I don't know whether should i do BMS or BCOM. Very Confused. Because BMS has relatively high fees but BCOM covers more aspects some people are saying. What should I do? Go for BCOM or do Autonomous BMS?

Azhaan, it depends upon your vision for MBA and college you are visioning, BMS covers general management studies that will be more good for the MBA later on from the renowned college, Where as B.Com degree covers the accounting and financial part more. Do some R&D depending upon your preferences for colleges and specializations you are more interested in for bachelors and for post graduation.

@@college_search but what if I do professional qualifications like icwa or acca and score over 90% in that and score 99.99 percentile in CAT? WILL that significantly increase chance for internet call from top 5 iim ?I know it sounds unlikely because icwa or acca are definitely not easier than Bcom ,but incase I do one of them and manage to score 90% aggregate and 99.99 percentile in cat ,will that add good weightage? Let me know what u feel. Thanks Not that am desperate about studying in iim but iim and other top 10 business schools of an country or region or world teache one a very rigorous real life scenario case studies ,that even one wants to start own business franchise or eveb take over existing big business ,can confidently manage financial aspects of them.

Anirudh, we do appreciate your dedication but in reality this will not happen as you have mentioned in your situational comment. Bcz top IIMs do give weightage to both CAT Scores as well as to board percentage equally or in described proportion. And if you have plans for your own business, you can do that with learning and studies from any good college and without running or getting degree from IIMs , you only require focus and continues progression so you can create your own resources along with internships and projects and living experience to use in your business in future.

@@college_search Thanks for your clarifications. Perhaps your right getting into top iim is out of question as they give good weightage to both cat as well as previous academic records. As far as getting 90% in icwa or acca is concerned ,it's certainly not a joke. They are certainly not easier than Bcom. Even with best efforts and best interest can maybe at the most manage to get 60 to 65%.Even with this and 99.99 percentile in CAT, still wouldn't have met sufficient GPA for top iim interview call. I know for doing business or acquiring existing big business formal qualification is not required , Noone will ask for it .Many rich successful business owners don't think of particularly getting formal training in finance before entering into business, but for my personal satisfaction I feel its important for me to first get the professional qualification then only do business but as u said it need not necessarily be from iim. Perhaps any one qualification is more than enough icwa or ca or acca or cfa or financial risk management certification with updated knowledge of what's happening in financial and business world, practice as many case studies as possible ,beyond the syllabus of whatever course I intend to do,use the same for business plans This is what I feel so.Any point to add sir ?Again I understand that for doing business formal qualification in finance not necessary but no harm in doing it either I feel professional knowledge won't hurt the chance of running the show.

sir, I got a very average college in my BBA foreign trade, that college/ the university is Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya soc Indore good reputation, and good name but only in M.P it does not have any advantages too. I'm in the first semester should I go for cuet2023 to get a much better college for BCom Hons. at Delhi university. my friend is at SRCC and he said that next year Govt declares a BCom Hons degree as 4-year degree instead of 3. one if I get admission to a top college of du such as SRCC. it might be a serious problem for me as there is a loss of 2 years. what should I do go for cuet and get admission in the top college of DU for ( 4 years/3year )BCom Hons./BCom or go for CAT preparation to get any good IIM
