We had cool autumn weather for a while here in San Francisco, but I knew it wouldn’t last, we’re now in a major heatwave. The inside of my house dropped to 50F overnight, the lowest furnace setting, and it came on automatically in the early mornings, blowing summer dust everywhere! It doesn’t reliably cool down here until around November 1. I have bought several (ok, a lot!) new autumn/winter items, but for now, they’re in moth-proof summer storage. I can’t wait to get them out and wear them when the weather finally changes. I love my cashmere sweaters, skirts and dresses, and my boots and blazers. I can only dream of wearing them now when it’s 95F! At age 63, I think I’ve finally learned not to jump the gun on my seasonal wardrobe switchouts. I froze last spring when I put my cold-weather clothes away in April, instead of May. It stayed cool well into June.

Same here! Right now I am not really wearing jackets.. but at the end of the week temperatures are supposed to drop! Let’s see! Xx

You’re a pretty good “body model” for me to see how clothes might look on me, we share that short waist and long limbs. My frame is much narrower, though and you are taller. I was 5’6” in youth, but am now only 5’4”, but the shrinkage was in the body, not the limbs. I wear a Small in most tops and dresses, but the arms are always too short! I don’t want to size up, especially in sweaters, because most styles are now ridiculously oversized, or that unflattering crotch-length, two of me could fit in them, so I sometimes choose Extra Small. Unfortunately, losing height in the torso has the effect of thickening my waist, too. I watched this happen in my 40s with dismay, there was nothing I could do about it.
