I pick this up after testing it during the tiny pocket of winter we got here in Florida. Its like a slow burn movie. It takes its time becoming more and more interesting. I also happen to like the opening. I dont feel like fragrances live and die by the open for me as they only last minutes tops. Great review, even if you didnt love it

Initio "Narcotic Delight" is in my # one. Ti me it's masculine, mysterious, and demands feminine attention (of course not all females are the same) when worn by a confident man! Not to be ignored, it's a great smelling cologne! 🔥🔥🔥

I never blind buy anything. The presale came out on my birthday so I got it as my birthday present to myself. It smelled completely different on me and my two friends who work on Neiman Marcus. The opening is great on me, The cherry is amazing for me, Its a darker cherry but it comes out strong on my skin. It is very peppery in the opening though. Once the hedione and tobacco and Cognac begin to come in I get the cherry even more. It smooths out and the ambery feel begins to come in. The Vanilla bean is strong and its sweet mixed with the cognac. I've noticed that the dry down is similar to they syrupy dry down of Bond no.9 New Harleeem. If you add a sandalwood or any type of wood to it. If the dry down was a little less sweet it would be a 10/10 for me. I know you aren't supposed to layer two heavy fragrances. But I have layered this with Side effect 1 to 1 and they combine and compliment each other absurdly well. The Cherry is amplified in the opening (even though cherry isn't an actually a note in Side effect), the cinnamon really helps manage to add a sweetness to the spiciness. The hedione amplifies which to me is a good thing because I love hedione. The wet tobacco vs dry tobacco and the vanilla in both balance out to make it really feel balanced.

I got myself samples and used them all up. I love it! I admit that I was disappointed when i first tried it as I was expecting the cherry, later on just like you said, it grew on me. I appreciate the fragrance for how it was made. Not Side Effect, not another cherry fragrance, but definitely one of Initio’s best ones, in my opinion 🥰 You described it perfectly well, thank you Troy! Have a wonderful weekend.

Usually agree with you. But I went into my decant blind and all I could smell was the Side Effect profile. It’s not a bad release but it’s as “Initio” as an Initio scent can be. Maybe it’s the hedione note

Call me crazy but it reminded me of Althair by PdM without the orange blossom and cardamon. The DNA feels smiliar? I wish I had got this instead. It doesn't have that strong amberwood.

Man I absolutely love narcotic delight. Along with blessed baraka and psychedelic love. Initio is becoming my favourite!!! Theres one note thats very similar in all of them. My girlfriend's friends even complimented me infront of her wearing blessed baraka. LOL! It does remind me of side effect but I like it more as side effect is more mainstream and my friends wear it. Side effect is kind of mainstream now aswell.

I thought the first 3 minutes were good on Narcotic. Then it turned to typical designer vanilla frag. Many Guerlain frags have much more depth and goodness like Feve Gourmand. BDK Vanille Leather is much better choice or Cherry Oud by Guerlain. The cherry note is tame and smooth.

The cherry note is 0 folks. Also this smelled disaster vanilla like cheap designer frags. Compare this to Guerlain and BDK vanilla. These are pleasant vanilla. There is a fumey type note? Do people like that? Ive smelled it before on designer frags.

This is not the best in the line nor is it the worst, feels like a designer fragrance u can get for less than 1/3 of the price of this. 245££ this is not worth the price reminds me of the Armani perfume I smelled in the FS very upset with realise!!
