I’m with Jill. An endless pool, or swim spa, is the best of both worlds! Also, spa great for aching joints as you get older... also, would be great after a trip on the boat, if you’d got chilled.

I have had a hot tub my entire life it’s the most amazing thing after sports games and when it’s cold. You can sit in the hot tub when your cold and not have to use the heater as much. It has really helped with mussels after sports.

We had a hot tub growing up but it was a pain to clean and trying to keep the chemicals i the right numbers. My parents got it for one of their wedding anniversaries. It was nice when it snowed and sitting there the snow falling on you. But I am sure now a days it's easier to upkeep and clean.

I feel like that would be very horrible for some people's skin. Does it replace chlorine? Well whenever I go in the ocean I get rashes so it's probably fine for others lol... I hate my skin. Not like my family's rich enough for a pool yet alone a hot tub anyways.

We got hot tub in October 2020 and it must have been used about 2 dozen times since it arrived, but its far too cold as that short travel from getting out the tub to the door feels like death. Also you may want to consider all the chemicals costs and maintenance of the tub as its not just get a tub and that that it genuinely has the maintenance of a baby though it doesn't cry when it needs changed and you need to test the water every day to make sure the chemical balance is correct using either CHLORINE or BROMINE, then PH Balancer, PH Plus, Alkaline Plus, De-Foamer & Test Strips all of which you need to keep on top of or you need to start all over and you also need to keep dry as any moisture gets into them then thats them wasted which can be a huge cost as each chemical is about £40+ each and you also have to buy new filters for when they start to build up grime and dont filter correctly even if you clean them regularly

my aunt n uncle have ALWAYS had a hot tub; no matter where they lived over the years in the US they always had one (except maybe Chicago...might have to ask them about that). but i should really say it is not an every family thing...it requires effort and money to maintain. but it was really awesome to always spend time in together and talk...and yes we did talk, not carry in phones or do silly things...sometimes we had drinks if it was a big family thing. It amusing after a while, i thought they wouldn't get a house with another hot tub when they moved from San Francisco but then in Arizona they also had one...and now they still do in San Jose. also hanging them lights over the hot tub...oh lord...accident waiting to happen right there yo.

I love the backsplash. I had my doubts, it looked to much like subway tile. With all these renovations you have completed you need a pink tool belt with tools that have pink grips. I say get a hot tub! My family had one. In fact they still have the same one at my childhood house. My parents still use it all the time. But we used to go in there a lot in the evening after the day was over and homework was over and unwind as a family. Lots of family talks in there. We would talk about our day, things coming up and whatever. Sometimes our friends would come over and go in the hot tub and we would dare each other to run out into the snow and roll around. Many cold winter nights running through the backyard in my swim suit and getting back in the hot tub. We also liked to go out when there was any specific space stuff happening like the eclipse or the Christmas star will show for the 1st time in 1 million years. Stuff like that! Great for star gazing!

Not really. Things that _add_ value to the home are neutral things that nearly all buyers like. Hardwood floors or well appointed bathrooms and kitchen. Those _add_ value. At best (and I do mean at best), you might get your money back when selling the house with an in ground hot tub. A lot (and I won't argue about this) of people don't want the hassle and will just drain it, then you have an eyesore on the property. (Keep in mind, we are talking about a $15,000 expense, on the low end...) It might add value in a multi million dollar mansion, where you have a pool guy maintain it, but not on a little house that people buy for the dock, and that's it. If they have to have one, get an above ground type. That way you won't scare a lot of buyers.
