DON NOT BUY THE AIR FOR EDITING VIDEOS on Luma fusion don't buy the iPad air!. You need minimum 512gb 1tb 200% preferred! Explanation: Luma fusion creates copies of the original files, even if the video files are already on ur ipad! (This is why I suggest working off an external hardrive or directly from ur SD card) it's also complicated to delete files in Luma fusion that ur always going to use like sound effects and songs vs deleting everything. As far as performance goes they're pretty equal to each other a12z vs a14 (meh) P.S. I think the Luma fusions limitations are due to Apple not allowing background processing on their mobile devices. With all that said I still editi all my videos on the iPad pro 11" it's just too convenient to not edit on an iPad pro

The base model iPad is one of the best deals in tech, but having used both the new Air and a 7th gen side-by-side and separately, saying it's difficult to tell the displays apart just isn't true. The Air has better contrast (probably because of the laminated display) and the anti-reflective coating is pretty noticeable in almost any environment. You can even see it in this video (5:28) while he's literally saying it's hard to see a difference. (Edit to add: the base iPad still has a very, very good display. The Air is just better. Not night-and-day worth-twice-as-much better, but noticeably better.) The biggest differences for me, though, is that the Air is just nice to hold (somehow the sharp edges give better grip), the way the magnetic folio cases work is awesome (being able to go caseless without peeling a case off rules), and the 2nd gen Apple Pencil is just... a lot better. I also really like True Tone.

For a secondary iPad that complements the iPad Pro 12.9", which one would you recommend?
@bradleyanderson2473 жыл бұрын
I bought my wife an 8th gen with 128gb for Christmas. She had an older iPad that she used sparingly. I've noticed she's using this a lot more. Very nice device, and as suggested in the video, probably the best value for any device in the Apple ecosystem. I do think 32gb is just not sufficient. I think the equation between the 4th gen Air and 11" Pro is pretty thin and depends on storage requirements. If you think 64gb of storage is not sufficient, but 128gb is, the price difference between the 256gb Air and the 2020 128gb 11" Pro becomes pretty small. That said, at this point I'd at least wait to see what the rumored 2021 Pro models will bring to the table. Apple really likes to use those teaser devices to get you to upgrade. With iMacs they've always had 3 tiers. Have you ever noticed the middle tiered model is just not a good value? So the buyer thinks they'll just upgrade from the base model, but the middle tier model costs almost as much as the top tiered model. Leading the potential buyer to decide they might as well opt for the top tier. Not the same exact plan but I sort of see the 64gb Air as a teaser. 64gb might not be enough, so I guess I should upgrade. Oops, no 128gb option and the 256gb model puts you into the vicinity of the base Pro. They are all really great devices.

The iPad Pro takes the cake... you can’t beat it’s almost bezeless display @120htz. Thing is a powerhouse. I benchmark it against my iPhone 11 and it shreads it still.. battery is great and I’ll say it again, the screen is perfection. The air has a really great lcd but it’s night and day with the pro. A high refresh rate device today stays futureproof 3-4 years from now when legit everything will be high refresh rate. The pro also has some cray WiFi antennas.. it always gets 3x the speed of my iPhone 11 on the same network. If Apple puts pro in the name, it’s worth the money cause it will last so long and work so well. I also have a gen 1 9.7” pro that still wo es great. My mom uses it now but thing is a beast and the battery for her playing candy crush is kinda amazing for something 5 years old. Go pro or go home.

The low storage on the iPad 8 really isn’t that much of a deal breaker, imo. I assume most people who go with this option mainly use it for web surfing, streaming, texting, video calls, and checking social media. At least that’s why my friend bought the 8th gen instead of the iPad Air. Those bezels do need to go.

Love the iPad 8th gen, but that 32gb is definitely not for most consumers. If you fancy always having to optimize your storage go for it. Though as a light media consumption device and with pencil support for note taking its lovely. I'd say if you can get around the storage dilemma pretty well then it's the best all around.

Thanks for this, been debating which one to get. I’m just looking for a device to help manage our photos along with some media and online use. I was going towards the air but for higher storage and a lower price the iPad 8 should tick all the boxes that we need.

Love your videos man. I know this is an iPad video but If I were beginning a KZbin channel and just getting into video editing, which M1 Mackbook would you recommend and in what configuration? I’ll be shooting my videos with an iPhone camera for now then upgrading to a mirrorless when I get better. I’ve never had a MacBook before either

TouchID on the iPad Air 4 isn‘t cheaper than on the iPad to produce as it‘s a new technology they made to differentiate the Air from the Pro. FaceID was developed since 2014 and released in 2017 so it got way cheaper to produce with the years than a brand new TouchID in Powerbutton

I have an first gen iPad Air and if I want to upgrade I think I want to have speakers on the bottom and the top. It's so stupid, that if you watch KZbin or Netflix, the sound comes only one from side. I think that limits my choice a little bit...

Watching on iPad pro 12.9 2020 and had to order the air4 today to install in my car basically doing a conversion. For those who are looking to get the pro or the air I'd say it will depend if you need the camera specs and the 120hz screen all the rest is more or less the same in real world use.

Would the scenario below cause apple to go bankruptcy: Ipad 8 64/128 gb Ipad air 4 128/256 gb Ipad pro 256/512 gb Ok, they may be lost a little portion of their profitability however they may sell more products. By the way i got ipad 8 128gb. Only disadvantage is the lack of usb c port. Well, you may purchase lightning to usb converter but having a solid usb c is more consistent option. Lastly, smart keyboard for ipad 8 not that bad. You can fold it back, it’s light and handy. It’s a portable device, hold little room on your desk, quite useful.
