May Allah be pleased with Mufti Menk for having the courage to chip away at the hardened hearts of the Ummah shrouded in money, pride, status, hypocrisy, tyranny, cultural traps. This is such a beautiful message! Give from the heart, give yourself, give your time, give support because Allah has given us a mercy of life no matter how great or small. Don't give because you are trying to buy your way into heaven, or buy your way out of hell, or for others to think YOU are benevolent, YOU are the greatest. Truly it is our maker who is the best giver and knower of the seen and unseen. Don't shun the poor and weak. Don't push them away from what they need the most...learning to be human. We are all used in different ways. We all have a role and purpose and no one knows who is worthy or unworthy of our giving. Our creator is the best judge. My heart is full and my tears flow like a river from this teaching. May we not forget the scale of judgment.
