In your review of Polaris you didn't seem too thrilled by it, but I got it and I absolutely adore that scent. It's got this sweet gourmand quality to it and a woodiness with some smoke. It makes me think of roasting marshmallows at a campfire or something. Just beautiful. I'll probably pick this one up too, because the Nuit D'Issey fragrances are often fantastic.

I just got this one 2 days ago. Wow! I’m pleasantly surprised! I got 4 compliments on the very first day I wore it. It’s like Nuit D’Issey parfum with the vintage Polo Green mixed in.

Hey just decided within the last few weeks to start looking at & smelling some scents; I think your descriptors & thoughts watching your videos the last few days have been nice to get an idea on some things. I bought my first bottle that wasn’t a gift & have enjoyed it the last week. Granted I got Dior Elixir, but I thought a spritz of that would go well at the metal shop I work at as my start.

I live in Australia and pretty much from what ive seen we only have the OG ive never seen the others you talked about. Thats my dream to go to the US and just spend a week buying fragrances. Cold weather has hit Australia and today rocking Spicebomb Extreme, but can't wait as Ive got heaps of new guys to pull the trigger on for cold weather. Currently the IRIS note is really doing it for me. Smells classy especially in the Givenchy Gentleman line, a bit different in the Dior Homme Intense but still great

I consider it as a candied green like Hugo Boss Unlimited and Spicebomb Night Vision. More upscale than Boss, more social than Night Vision edt. Pure Woody a discountinued Mercedes cologne is another in this genre. They all work better at night.

Try and unsmell this (off the atomizer): a grown up and more complex Dylan Blue. It's only off the atomizer and in the air for a little while though. Agree that this shares a lot with Noir Argent, love the opening though I didn't get much mint. I'm not a fan of green scents, but I will keep this one because it has more going on (as opposed to something like JPG Aviator, which is like burying your face in vegetables). Performance is decent, it does fall off close to my skin after a couple of hours into the drydown. Interesting fragrance with some twists and turns. Since the base is vanilla and a touch of tobacco, you could wear this daytime and toss something else over it for the evening. If Noir Ambre is a 10, Noir Argent is a 9, I think this is a solid 8 with bonus points for some creativity.

Blind bought Pulse of the night (100ml) here in South Africa and paid the equivalent of $38 in rands and took delivery today (18 May 2022). I am very happy with my purchase. I own several of the Issey miyake gems. They are great but somehow I really don't wear them. I did get a compliment while wearing Ambre Noir about 10 hrs after initial sprays.

@@stevenpuglisi2715 Ambre Noir, Noir Argent, Pulse of the Night, then Or Encens. This would be my order. Noir Argent doesn't get quite as much mention but it is great very balanced leather and sweet ambery fragrance that can easily be detected after 10 hrs without being cloying.

Opening reminds me somewhat of Kryptomint, with the minty feel. I like it. Glad it doesn't have the cumin like note like in the OG Nuit D'issey, I get an almost BO odor from it. but you can tell it's got that backbone in it. 7/10
