I have been running my XJL portfolio since 2018 January. The car is just great for the price you pay. My interior is beach, I think it looks better than brown, but that's opinion. The only thing I don't like is the software on the computer. I also miss a little the lighting like in the S-Class.

This car is absolutely gorgeous. I like the white interior with the quilted seats, genuine black with chrome trim. I love the XJL it is beautiful the long wheel bass awwww. If you can find a certified 2016 - 2017 with 6yr./100,000ml. warranty you’ve hit the JACKPOT

I suggest you to buy audi A8L if you want a advanced,high tech look and beautiful car, honestly i don't think that xjl can compete with s class,if you talk about cool and aggressive, i suggest bmw 7-series , mercedes s class is more about luxury, the average age of people buying s class is 35 above.But i have to say the interior of s class is most gorgeous that i haven't see before

Kevin's World The Brits have their own way of doing interiors. You would probably prefer the interior of a Merc SL or any Porsche. In those cars you'd be surrounded by a sea of lookalike buttons, and technology overkill that would make most people yearn for the '60s again. Jaguar's tradition has always to make their interiors warm and inviting, hence the wood and leather. And also in the Jag manner, the car should be easy and intuitive to drive. Me, I much prefer the British approach, and that's why I'm on my fourth Jaguar.

I'm more concerned about the exterior, looks straight out of 2000, the interior could be a good thing because they are reusing a lot of old technology that can be cheap to replace and you can probably find better stuff but the exterior unless you drop a bodykit on it looks really bad

In the beginning Ford owned Jaguar. When they sold Jaguar to Tata, Ford had them under contract until 2012 to provide the engines. After that contract ended they stopped using all V8 engines. I'll keep my 2012 XF Supercharged V8 Portfolio edition until the wheels fall off. Hope that's the info you wanted. If you want a V8 2012 was the last year they were available.

I'll keep my 2012 XF Supercharged V8 Portfolio edition until the wheels fall off. I think it's nicer than the XJ's in some ways. In this one it looks like the dash and center console is made up of cheap plastic. The finger turning the vent, don't we all know they do that. It looks like they have cheaped out buy deleting a lot of the leather and wood trim. I prefer the rotating vents in the XF as they blend away when not in use and the big round vents in this car look very bug eyed. I've not owned a 1st generation but have heard that the quality and the luxury are better than the now 3rd generation. Tata is cheeping out every where the can. If continued they will destroy Jaguar. I've had two Jaguars, the first S Type 4.2 Ford V8 and now my XF. Both are excellent cars the S Type was one of the best car's I've ever owned. So far same with my XF. Tata needs to step up on quality and luxury. Not diminish it.
