I sometimes envy you younger people so much Meli. Anime was just coming into the United States in the late 70s, early 80s when I was growing up. Mostly Battletech, Voltron, and Battle Of The Planets (Gotchaman), and very few models, toys, etc. Now we’re surrounded by all of this awesome Japanese robotic greatness! Thank you for doing a great channel!

Here's a tip: Instead of throwing out the box for the phone charger, get some dryer sheets. Toss a few inside it, rub down the outside, and let it sit for a while (as long as it takes.) This will neutralize most, if not all, of the cigarette smoke stench. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke, and this is the method I use.

I have purchased a lot of used games from Japan over the years, which from time to time are notoriously stinky of cigarettes. If it's non porous (plastics, etc.), I use disinfectant spray to wipe down the items, and it helps tremendously, Something I've also done is a combination of heat, baking soda, and Carbon deodorizers. Place the stinky item(s) in a plastic bag with the baking soda/deodorizer, and place the bag in a hot area (like the garage - or the attic for us folk here in Florida). after 3 days, most, if not all of the smell is gone! I was able to de-stink the packaging of a much sought after Power Base Converter for the Sega Genesis that way a few years ago.

What you said about Mandarake is very true. Shit's always expensive there because you're paying for the convenience of having all the rare merchandise clumped together in the same place. If you have the time, it's always cheaper to go item hunting around the other stores. Those "OFF" stores (Book-Off/Hard-Off) are a goldmine for cheap rare kits.

Yep it's Yamanote. :) Tis the line that passes through Akihabara. They've done lots of these limited edition kits... There's a 7 eleven one, there's a ANA airline one... Lots of em. :)

hm Meli u should go to Nakano Broadway. the stuff there are kinda insane... Mandarake is good if you got item that you got a hard time finding and if they are available. even a bit higher its ok. in Akihabara you gotta take to the less crowded street where u might find some really good Gundam stuf with good value. Akihabara is not enough a day. I go there 2 days separate back in April 2019. its still not enough to raid all those stores!
