Good evening Sacha Distel had a great career in France in variety, song, he was the nephew of a conductor. Bet Davis was in Paris, in those years and recorded with the musicians you named. We can say that Sacha Distel could have been part of the group if a guitarist would have been useful to Miles.

Jazz Way Out is on its way! I'd prefer the vinyl version, but at the prices vinyl seems to fetch these days, I'm happy to acquiesce to "perfect sound forever" when available. 🙂 Thanks for mentioning the Denon release of this album as a good sounding option. Cheers!!

Ummmm… The Japanese Afternoon In Paris is mono, not stereo. In fact, I think it was recorded only in mono. It does sound fantastic though. The Discogs listing needs correction.
