New Jack Swing of the late 80s to early 90s... reminds e of bobby brown 'every little step'... people do mistake their sound for Y2K but 95% of is definitely early to late 90s... the other 5% is just because this genre in particular goes back to late 80s as well and the Mainstream UK Garage genre goes slightly forward to early 2000s but even then they are still most famous/popular during the 90s.
